Today is National Nathan Day.
It occurs each November 22nd and is a celebration of those named Nathan.
The name arises from both Nathaniel and Jonathan.
It's meanings are derived from the Hebrew "Gift of God" or "God has bestowed".
Nathan was a Son of King David and a prophet of the one true God as written in the Old Testament.
He was a messenger to King David and is in the ancestral blood line of Yeshua the Christ.
I have had a number of friends given the name since childhood.
The name has enjoyed increasing popularity over the years, and indeed my niece chose to name her second born Nathan.
Born in July of 2020 he is a quiet little fellow and tolerates my company very well.
We love our babies.
Happy National Nathan Day to you !

It's National Gingerbread Cookie Day an annual November 21 observance.
Gingerbread cookies are a perfect taste for the holiday season and you can buy them in all shapes and sizes ...
Or make your own.
There was a time when I pursued the baking of cookies and such during the holiday season. I'm afraid those days are long gone so I purchase my baked goods these days.
The spicy cookies have been a favorite of mine for a long time now.
I was once known to stash a bag of ginger snaps in my desk to the point that coworkers would drop by with their coffee in hand for a few periodically.
Gingerbread has been around a very long time.
In the sixteenth century, Queen Elizabeth I used to have them fashioned in the likenesses of visiting dignitaries to the delight of the recipients.
They span the gamut of human celebrations from holidays — and even are tokens of love embossed with iced messages of l'amour.
Some Eastern European locales even view them as an art form.
So grab a glass of almond milk and woof a few down.
