So today we have National Tim Day. My brother in law is named Tim. So is his son.
Seems that December 28 is their day.
I read that the name originates from the old Greek Timotheos.
It has quite the strong biblical derivation — of a Christian Soldier spin — and is nothing like I had originally imagined; which was a bit on the pagan side of things.
Tim and my sister seem to hit it off okay. His son and spouse likewise appear to be doing fine.
The moniker has been used here since about the 16th century and was in widespread use in the ancient Greek regions for much longer.
So if you know someone named Tim be sure and wish them a happy day.
