National Wildlife Day 2022

eagle takes flight

I wasn't always the pro nature kind of fellow I am these days.

Indeed, I have had my cruel and crass iterations when I thought in that foolishness which was my youth that the other living creatures mattered less than I did.

I am happy to say that I eventually evolved out of this selfishness.

Now I am quick to step aside and give way to another animal that happens to be in my presence.

National Wildlife Day is observed annually each September 4.

The day is about raising awareness regarding endangered species and their habitats, which need to be protected and rescued.

On this day one might consider preservation and conservation efforts that work to improve the natural world.

After all, people don't own the world. We cohabitate upon it with all the other living things.
