A cephalopod is a mollusk of the class Cephalopoda, such as an octopus or squid. These animals are typically on the go all the time and remain a predatory species in their food chain.
Octopus specimens are said to be extremely intelligent and can squeeze through minute openings compared to their body size to gain access to areas you wouldn't think they could. All of the specimens with which I have ever interacted were marine animals and they are truly interesting to observe with their characteristic behaviors and awareness of their surroundings.
