World Animal Day 2018
World Animal Day is a celebration meant to "raise the status of animals in order to improve welfare standards around the globe".It is concerned with both wild and domesticated animals and is essentially an international observance stemming from grassroots concerns and participation.
While I differentiate between animals I consider vermin, or companion and food animals the consortium of individuals comprising World Animal Day do not.
I view it all as a highly worthwhile endeavor and tend to abandon my practical issues for the greater good.
World Animal Day speaks for those creatures who cannot do so for themselves.
