14th District of New York's BIGGEST Mistake
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez
Voted into office by the idiots comprising the 14th District of New York, Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is singularly the biggest embarrassment to her district, her political party, the United States government, and The Republic.

This unbelieveably stupid human being is incapable of forming coherent thoughts concerning any state in the realm of reality as she continually lambasts the United States with all of her contrived confabulations on any and every aspect of our government as a whole.

The 14th district of New York needs something other than some stupid bullshitting bartender like her.

Furthermore, she is a socialist commie who needs to be ripped from the fabric of our governmental landscape and locked up in gitmo or somwhere else hot and uncomfortable for the rest of her lying green new deal life. Nice chain link fence cage is MUCH more her style and what she deserves than legislative digs anyway.

Never in the history of The Republic has so much left been imposed on the reality of law and one thing is certain ... if this is the best the democrats can come up with I look forward to the impending civil war when we will give them their comeuppance in no uncertain terms.

Stupidity, thy name is the 14th District of New York.

Luther Vandross talent done too soon
    Luther Vandross
Luther Vandross Jr
April 20, 1951 – July 1, 2005

Luther Vandross was one of those eclectic soul fusion singers who did a lot of backup work prior to becoming a headliner.

I used to listen to his music for inspiration back when I had chops and did a little singing myself. He sold in excess of 35 million records internationally won 8 grammys.

He was in demand as a backup vocalist during the entirety of his career.

I recalled noticing his absence from those venues I used to follow as the result of my interest in music which has long since passed.

It seems that he had a lot of health problems of which I was unaware until that time I saw him on television appearing about half the weight he was when last I saw him.

He seemed happy and looking forward to future only to die shortly thereafter.

He suffered from diabetes and hypertension which resulted in a stroke and finally a fatal heart attack.

I recall that gloom I felt upon his passing because I thought he really had a lot more to offer the world and I had been a big fan of his music for a long time up until his death.

Asteroid Day 2019
asteriod

Asteroid Day aka International Asteroid Day is an annual international event which is held on the anniversary of the Tunguska event that took place on June 30, 1908.

We've had a number of proximities which qualify as "near miss" in astronomical terms and some of the conjecture has been really out there with 'spaceship' asteroid supposition and other extra terrestrial modalities which possibly mimic the presence of asteriods.

I remember in the old days learning about the asteriod belt in our solar system and the information has been difficult to track given my preoccupation with things related to employment so suffice it to say that I am not nearly as knowledgeable as I was in a younger day.

Asteroid Day aims to raise awareness about asteroids and what can be done to protect the us from potential catastrophic events.

The entire notion gives me those fleeting images of the move Armageddon and the asteroid apocalypse it entailed.

Brrr !

Remembering Joel Siegel
    Joel Siegel
Joel Steven Siegel
July 7, 1943 – June 29, 2007

Back in the old days ... you know, when the main stream media was remotely believable and not the manipulative political yellow thing it has become as of the Obama administration and probably beginning through that of both traitor Bushes as well I was partial to a few personalities presenting the information on these outlets.

One of them was Joel Siegel, a film critic who I enjoyed for his opine on the various movies of the day. You know, the media outlets producing films are JUST as big a set of dirtbags as the democrats and the mainstream media cabal.

Joel Siegel was an American film critic who I usually encountered on ABC.

He won emmys and also worked as a radio disc jockey and an advertising copywriter.

Joel Siegel passed from colon cancer on June 29, 2007 in New York.

I would have liked to see him work quite a bit longer as his input was always something I looked forward to during that time my day was a hectic futile mess otherwise.

National PTSD Awareness Day 2019
I have PTSD. It is the result of what has been a traumatic life. It is not due to any parental abuse nor close in conflicts with familiars.

Posttraumatic Stress Disorder is considered a psychiatric disorder that can happen in we who have experienced traumatic events.

My personal issues revolve in a continuous personal assault as the result of always being the fat new kid.

brain on fire

I have intense, disturbing thoughts and feelings related to my experiences that have lasted from then until now and even though the traumatic events have ended they persist to the point that I'm continually on the edge.

I have flashbacks and nightmares, a pervading feeling of sadness, fear and anger and exhibit a lot of detachment and estrangement from others as a result.

I cannot stand to be touched. I have learned to contain this aversion in the presence of polite company ... but if others knew just how much it affects me they would back off.

I do not just "go off" on people like some others with PTSD. I make attempts to contain my feelings until that time they may be vented in the absence of others.

There are episodic negative reactions to what might seem innocuous to other people but they trigger memories of moments I try hard to forget but will never do so. One thing about it, the grown man that I have become has been influenced by a lot that is bad and others who claimed to be my friend but were not.

My memories though persistent do not rule me because I decline to allow them to do so. Control of my feelings requires an iron fist approach often times in the solitude of my existence.

When I'm alone collecting my thoughts in preparation for the next day when I will go through the drill all over again.

Adventures in Laundry
    Ed Robinson Sign
Saturday I took my laundry to Ed's on Forest Drive for my weekly batch processing.

After probably too much small talk and standing around for a very few minutes I paid and was on my way.

Upon taking my garments to the truck I attempted three times to hang them from the thingie inside the door only to impale my thumb on the ends of the hangers ...

And the third time really ticked me off.

The moral of the story is not to go in talking too much smack to the ladies in the laundry because God will take you to task and impale your thumb on several hangers in rapid succession.

So now my thumb remains sore and I keep wondering how my hands got so doggone tender in general anyway.

Better luck next week.

Specialist or Generalist
Littoral Vessel Crew at quarters
The Atlantic had quite an article describing the evolving outlay within military service where in the Navy littoral (shore) vessels are downsizing their crew compliment with a lot of generalists instead of what used to be a realm of many more system specialists.

Now then, when I was coming up through the ranks of information technology I always billed myself as a generalist and not a specialist and indeed in this day and age that is precisely what I have remained ...

However, the crux of the issue is a spin on specialists in the workplace and even though I can address issues in a multiple discipline environment they pretty much limit me to a single area.

This being said I would have to agree with the premise of the article that "expertise is falling out of favor at work".

However, sometimes it's only the generalist who has the solution to the problem. Been there. Done that.

An Interesting Droid Anecdote
    silent pocket Faraday cage pouch
My friend was speaking to his wife on his android phone regarding a obscure retail product that few discuss in casual conversation.

It was some specialty device that was used in diving or some other area and you never encounter these things in the spam of our day.

Shortly after this conversation he started getting adverts on google for this very item.

Bear in mind that he was aware of the sparse nature of these items in casual conversation much less anything popping up on a random web page ... or two.

He surmised from this that there is an upload of content INCLUDING elements of his conversation with his wife from that phone to the folks at google who digest it for purposes of data mining.

So ... now I have ordered a faraday cage designed specifically for my own droid cell phone and fully intend to start powering it down and transporting it in the leather faraday cage to thwart these bung holes called Alphabet and their dirt bag exploitation subsidaries.

Boo to Google. Boo to Android. Boo to Alphabet.

Summer Solstice 2019
summer solstice

I was a child of Summer back in the old days. I used to spend a lot of time outdoors roaming barefooted through the lawns of the neighborhood and frequenting the many patches of clover.

There were the ice cream trucks and occasional bee stings and I was frequently getting yelled at for being in someone's yard ... but I just let it roll of my back like water from a duck and got on with the adventure at hand.

solar flares
Trespassers don't always realize what they are.

Nowadays things are different. I will likely go home and seek that comfort of my 3.5 ton HVAC which supplies abundant cool dry air and sit on my wingback chair and vege out in front of some program streaming on the teevee.

The Summer Solstice occurs when the sun is directly over the Tropic of Cancer which corresponds to 23.5 degrees north latitude.

It is the longest day of the year for the Northern Hemisphere and signifies the start of summer.

Today is the Summer Solstice. I don't think I'll be doing much in the way of reveling out of doors ... but the day is not lost on me by a long shot.

World Refugee Day 2019
World Refugee Day is yet another UN intrusion into the politics of the world that has morphed into something it wasn't intended to be. Originally it was observed each June 20 to raise awareness of the situation of refugees internationally.

However, with the advent of Agenda 21 and the foreigners admitted to New York due to our participation in the United Nations we are now innundated with both spies everywhere and an opportunistic leftist component called "the democratic party" seeking a United States with no borders AS WELL AS giving the vote to non citizens in a ploy to entice those not even entitled to the vote with undeserved entitlements in an effort to skew the elections and steal control of the government.

There is a legal immigration methodolgy. Then there is this incursion which is an invasion supported by enemies of the state like George Soros, The Pope, and The Democratic Party.

So now we have this mess where those who would impose upon our sovereignty as a nation force us to teeter on the edge of civil war with the portends of this dark reality.

I'm ready, are you?

Get us OUT of the UN

Anton Yelchin RIP
Anton Viktorovich Yelchin
Anton Viktorovich Yelchin
American Actor
March 11, 1989 – June 19, 2016

American Actor Anton Yelchin was a star who had risen playing various character roles such as Pavel Chekov in three Star Trek films and for that reason he held a place in my heart reserved for the trekkie culture alone.

He passed at a young age after becoming pinned between his Jeep Grand Cherokee and a brick pillar outside his house in Studio City, California.

Alas, I found myself still grieving his loss well into the following year.

Autistic Pride Day 2019
    Autistic Pride Day Flag
I have known quite a few autistic people in my existence.

With no exceptions they may exhibit cringeworthy behavior and also a variety of talents otherwise and I have missed a few of them over the years.

Disturbing behavior patterns are one of those amenable characteristics which diminish over time with therapy and maturity.

A lot of persons with autism grow to realize the scope of their issues and achieve balance in their lives as a result.

Today is Autistic Pride Day ... originally a spinoff of the Aspies for Freedom initiative; it is a celebration supportive of pride for autistics held on June 18 annually since 2005.

This concept emphasizes both pride for autistics and their role in bringing positive changes to society as a whole.

They have several versions of a flag used to represent the day. Another "rainbow infinity symbol" is more commonly used likely due to the leftist spin on the entire notion of autism spectrum disorder.

As it is surely known my interpersonal skills lean decidedly to the right and will likely remain there in perpetuity.

Happy 81st Birthday Mama
Happy Birthday Mama

love you

A Prayer for a Mother's Birthday

Lord Jesus, Thou hast known
A mother's love and tender care:
And Thou wilt hear, while for my own
Mother most dear I make this birthday prayer.

Protect her life, I pray,
Who gave the gift of life to me;
And may she know, from day to day,
The deepening glow of Life that comes from Thee.

As once upon her breast
Fearless and well content I lay,
So let her heart, on Thee at rest,
Feel fears depart and troubles fade away.

Her every wish fulfill;
And even if Thou must refuse
In anything, let Thy wise will
A comfort bring such as kind mothers use.

Ah, hold her by the hand,
As once her hand held mine;
And though she may not understand
Life's winding way, lead her in peace divine.

I cannot pay my debt
For all the love that she has given;
But Thou, love's Lord, wilt not forget
Her due reward,--bless her in earth and heaven.
