With all the hype surrounding the release of Alita: Battle Angel on blu ray I was very excited to hear my most favorite girl in the world tell me she had placed it at my avail ...
And I watched it all. I was not disappointed a single iota.
The flick is set a few centuries in the future where a cyber doctor named Ido found the abandoned Alita in a scrapyard of a place called Iron City.
He carried her to his clinic and retrofits her with a body he designed for his late daughter. Alita has no memory of who or where she is.
She navigates the treachery of her present surroundings learning much about her time and place over the 300 years of her existence.
Later, she is fitted with a battle armor called a 'beserker body' designed to integrate with her special brain and heart components which have strengths and abilities far beyond those which she has come to know in recent history.
The action is stupdendous.
It's a violent world set upon a kind and gentle woman who deals with it all in kind due to that berserker suit wearing cyborg warrior which is also her.
What a wonderful couple of hours of science fiction extraordinaire.
