Vaping then Breathing Afterwards

There is news in the threads regarding those respiratory consequences some who vape in lieu of or addition to smoking tobacco products are experiencing.

The portends of these are foreboding from a standpoint of general respiratory health.

Of late, some two dozen individuals have been hospitalized with breathing difficulties secondary to vaping and their physicians are at a loss as to the specific causality.

A preponderance of these persons are young adults and there is incomplete data regarding the "pod" (dose) types but the FDA is also pushing that 44 of these be removed from stores due to illegal sales. Lung infections and seizure disorders are two of the primary manifestations of the diseases being encountered in those who participate in vaping and there were no "real" studies done on the possibility for issues with vaping prior to that time the devices and pods which supply them were first sold.

My personal observations include people inhaling then exhaling thick plumes of vapor from these devices and I have often felt that even in the absence of tar, these "vapers" were receiving massive doses of nicotine and other residues which may be present in the pod contents.

When I stopped smoking there were no vaping products because they would not be available for decades. It is sobering that I too might have decided these were suitable cigarette substitutes and joined in with these people I now regard as having a low level of insight into personal health habits and the possibility for consequences beyond their control and desires for the stimulus barrier these products may provide.

Suffice it to say that my addictive personality was never set to task having to deal with these products and there by the grace of The Almighty go I.
