I just dropped HULU ...
colin kaepernick et al

Just in time for the month of February I have dropped HULU.

I did so in response to Colin gd Kaepernick trashing the police in Disney’s Hulu Docuseries Aimed at Kevin McCarthy’s District.

I figure if they are so woke as to support this stupid miscreant malcontent racist has been traitor turd boy I don't need to be contributing to those funds they earn to support that end.

Former NFL star turned pathetic seemingly unhirable loser —

Colin Kaepernick trashes law enforcement routinely and is the picture of everything wrong in the United States today.

He and his ilk are fundamental reasons why black lives don't matter anymore.

The chip on his shoulder needs a serious beat down.

I don't need Colin Kaepernick, Hulu, Disney or any other stupid woke crybaby factions in my existence.

Go Woke Go Broke.

Fuck Colin Kaepernick
Fuck Hulu
Fuck Disney

Appreciate your Social Security Check Day 2023
    Social Security Cards
This is a new one for me. This is my first year collecting social security benefits.

All those many years of FICA deductions came to fruition when I decided my employment had abruptly become a total waste of time and effort.

This transpired after I checked out my age and the ratios based upon it then decided I could adequately meet expenses.

Anyway, I've been drawing my "check" for about 8 months now. Actually it is a required direct deposit and I don't get a paper check.

I decided not to give anyone grief about it and things have been very boring without the workaday grind.

I'm one of those guys who needs somewhere to go. I will likely pursue something part time in the near future. I've been looking but nothing seems to float my boat.

Appreciate Your Social Security Check Day is held each January 31st to celebrate the entitlements that we get as the result of a lifetime of FICA deductions from our paychecks.

Actually, I'm having a bit of difficulty with the word "entitlement" having paid into this system for what is knocking 50 years.

However, in the spirit of the day I really do appreciate all the help I can get.

I do not feel illegals should be given money from a system into which they never paid.

National Bible Day 2023
Holy Bible King James Version
I have in my possession a Holy Bible King James Version given to me by my parents when I was a young child. It has both religious and sentimental signifcance representing that love my parents have for me even though some of our relationships are primarily functions of my memory now.

The Philippines holds National Bible Day on the last Monday of January every year. I am happy to observe this with them.

I recall seeing on bitchute.com just last week a mouthy heathen black man threatening a white woman and belittling the cross she wore around her neck with a contempt and insolence only available from the most base and stupid unrefined individuals on the planet. This went on until a very large man intervened on her behalf and got into his face whereby he went on his way. Christians are not second class citizens as some might believe.

Let those who would challenge my Christianity come forth and accept their consequences if any of the cowards so desire.

Happy National Bible Day in the Philipines and elsewhere. Tread lightly around my beliefs heathen interlopers in the United States. We remain a Christian nation despite what the riff raff likes of Barack Obama may say. I like the rough stuff so bring it on. I will toe to toe with you intellectually or physically.

I never judge. I merely discern and act accordingly. I simply claim that you cannot handle me or my Christian cohorts because you lack the training and the backing to do so.

Exodus 20

20: 1  And God spake all these words, saying,
20: 2  I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
20: 3  Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
20: 4  Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
20: 5  Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
20: 6  And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
20: 7  Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
20: 8  Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
20: 9  Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
20:10  But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
20:11  For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
20:12  Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.
20:13  Thou shalt not kill.
20:14  Thou shalt not commit adultery.
20:15  Thou shalt not steal.
20:16  Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.
20:17  Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.
20:18  And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw it, they removed, and stood afar off.
20:19  And they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear: but let not God speak with us, lest we die.
20:20  And Moses said unto the people, Fear not: for God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not.
20:21  And the people stood afar off, and Moses drew near unto the thick darkness where God was.
20:22  And the Lord said unto Moses, Thus thou shalt say unto the children of Israel, Ye have seen that I have talked with you from heaven.
20:23   Ye shall not make with me gods of silver, neither shall ye make unto you gods of gold.
20:24   An altar of earth thou shalt make unto me, and shalt sacrifice thereon thy burnt offerings, and thy peace offerings, thy sheep, and thine oxen: in all places where I record my name I will come unto thee, and I will bless thee.
20:25  And if thou wilt make me an altar of stone, thou shalt not build it of hewn stone: for if thou lift up thy tool upon it, thou hast polluted it.
20:26  Neither shalt thou go up by steps unto mine altar, that thy nakedness be not discovered thereon.

National Puzzle Day 2023
    jigsaw puzzle segment
Today is National Puzzle Day.

It is aimed toward exercising the brain. There are all kinds of puzzles designed to tweak those thought patterns and make those synapses work smoothly and with efficiency.

It is said that puzzles stimulate both hemispheres of the brain and improve memory and cognitive functions as well as problem solving skills in real time.

It is also the birthday of my late biological father, Jim Williamson, Jr. He too could be a puzzle at times and on occasion was decidedly challenging to figure out. Of course, there were many moments when he could certainly say the same thing about me.

Perhaps this is why my mother now enjoys all kinds of puzzles so much. My interest in most puzzles pretty much waned in my young adulthood. I like puzzles, but those I enjoy involve troubleshooting methodologies and fixing broken equipment. My brain teasers are no longer 'main stream'.

Happy National Puzzle Day to you.

National Daisy Day 2023
daisy

Daisies grow wild most everywhere I have lived thus far. The only place at which I resided and never saw them was in Los Angeles — but they certainly weren't lacking for exotic plants either.

I have been known to take a good close look at them from time to time ...

The radial symmetry, the petal shape, the anther tubes and stigma of the central disk.

It's all a function of my interest in nature and I have pursued this all my life.

That commonality of the daisy is important to me because we both have been all over the place.

I have heard of some who call the daisy a "weed".

They simply do not have my appreciation for the diversity of plants and all they bring to the environment.

A daisy a day.

Playing the Lottery Nowadays
    wasting fundage

Oh how I used to fantasize about winning the lottery. I just knew that my sincere desire for the top prize was going to cause it to rain down on me like pennies from heaven.

As it turned out, I've been playing since 2002 with no significant wins as of yet. Now I'm on a fixed income because I have not gone out and gotten a nice retirement job. This makes the frivolous lottery plays I once indulged a thing of the past ...

I suppose I would have been MUCH better off taking that cash and placing it into savings somewhere than spend it on these lottery companies who were much more aware of the odds than I was.

As today finds me much older (and hopefully wiser) I am much more attuned to that futility in the lottery as a regular part of my life.

Toward that end I have curtailed spending on it immensely. Once I would spend every available dollar on a ticket for the next drawing. Now I do one card, dividend reinvest that pittance called winnings ONLY then call it a day. This has GREATLY diminished the wasted fundage I once pursued with wild abandon.

I see others play hundreds weekly on scratchers. I never fell into that particular gambling pit. This is not that I wouldn't mind some of those prizes, either.

I try to have a chance and never get my hopes up anymore — as I did initially.

A man's got to know his limitations. Winning the lottery appears to be one of mine.

Good luck to you if you play the games.

eCommerce is NOT Social Media
mastercard
I'm not one to attempt being combative in business. I like to cooperate.

I like to live and let live. I like to conduct myself in a business like manner. However, the concepts within eCommerce grow increasingly tedious.

Not only is there entirely too much payment card fraud, but regular business seems to carry some implied social media type overhead requirement ...

I have too many contacts after the fact to comment on various items I purchase over the internet and the associated service I received as well. Typically a brief response chains to a full blown questionnaire for which I am hesistant to take time. This type of interaction is lost on me. I simply do not feel it is germane to the buying and selling process. Yes, if there's a legitimate problem I am well able to make that known ... but I don't feel we need any discussion in the absence thereof.

I try to be civil and polite but enough is enough.

First of all, I paid my money and decline to be someone's feedback source.

When you contact me outside the constraints of an actual order, i.e. payment/shipping/delivery etc it is called unsolicited business email or SPAM.

When I place your communication in the SPAM folder of my email client we are pretty much done.

If you are dissatisfied with the money stop conducting the business of selling.

Don't amazon me to death if you please. I already stopped all business with those abominations long ago because they thought I wanted to be one of their chump "members" ...

I decline to interact with a retail business wanting me engage some "membership". I felt the same way about the credit union to which I once belonged and terminated like the lame bad habit they were.

Walmart has been excluded for their similar unprofessional "I own your ass" crybaby antics — and their prices aren't even close to competitive like too many believe PLUS the employee base they attract are downright stupid human beings.

I buy and I pay. That's the entirety of my obligation in the matter of buying and selling and therefore ecommerce.

I'm in it all merely to do business. That concludes when I pay you and receive my merchandise. Sorry, but I'm not looking to be your long lost buddy. Particularly if you're as stupid as walmart or amazon.

National Florida Day 2023
    Florida the Sunshine State
Mom and I have been toying with the idea of moving to Florida. We have been doing this because of the state government's stance against that stupidity so pervasive in the rest of the nation since the democrats stole the presidential election.

The woke crap involving everything being "wrong is right" and "right is wrong" has really soured our attitudes towards the democrat controlled parts of the country.

Defunding the police and the dismantling of law and order in the vein of the city of Chicago run by that idiot democrat and rest of the democrat strongholds are simply not flying with us.

This business of men thinking they can be women and women thinking they can be men simply because "they want to" regardless of genetic makeup is yet another of the repulsive moronic fallacies embraced by the democrats and their sick bird ilk.

Further, the permissive attitude toward genetic males being allowed to compete in female sports likewise turns us away. A man who thinks he is a woman should be eliminated from the environment with extreme prejudice as the sick blight upon the landscape they are ...

Governor DeSantis has done an excellent job curtailing this stupidity and driving it from his jurisdiction. We respect that.

Today is National Florida Day. It is observed each January 25 every year in recognition of Florida’s arrival as the 27th state in The Republic.

Florida's warm weather and recreational amenities are also not lost upon us.

Observance of the law, denial of woke idiocy, and the other aspects of governance and environments renders the Sunshine State a good place in which to reside.

I would much prefer my tax dollars going to support a law abiding, family protecting, intuitive and knowlegeable good sense state such as the great state of Florida.

Happy National Florida Day !

National Complement Day 2023
Pussy Hat Feminists: how miserable can you be ?
I try to be complimentary in my dealings with the female of the species. This goes without saying anymore.

I'm much less provocative than I was in my younger days ...

I attribute it all to the cultivation of decorum and deportment in public by and large.

Whereas I would once say

"Gee, for a fat girl you sure don't sweat much"

nowadays I say

"You look damn good to be as fat as you is".

It's all how you choose to engage the world.

Today is National Compliment Day. It is observed each January 24 to provide a vehicle for interaction in a more pleasant way than one might otherwise engage.

So get out there and let those compliments fly ... and don't let that defunct pink pussy hat or that idiotic green or cretin blue hair get in your way.

You be you and I'll be me.

Capital Punishment in South Carolina up in the air
    SC Capital Punishment Firing Squad
Judges are considering whether the electric chair or a firing squad are legal execution methods in South Carolina. The legislature is trying to figure out how 14 other states have managed to get drugs required for lethal injections.

The state’s latest attempt to end nearly 12 years without an execution is to pass a law shielding the identities of the company that provides the drugs and any pharmacist or prison employees involved.

A state Senate subcommittee approved the proposed shield law’s first legislative step on Thursday, voting 3-1 to advance it to the full committee.

As these overpaid wimps debate and waste the taxpayer dollars further one thing is being shoved to the side:

The consequences resulting from capital punishment offenses and more so convictions.

If you commit murder and kill another human, what consideration did that person get prior to being snuffed by some criminal?

I personally would be less concerned with humane treatment and and vastly more concerned with effective riddance of society of the criminal element so prevalent in South Carolina and the rest of the republic. After all, dead is dead. How you get there is pretty gruesome regardless but warranted if the judicial penalty is death.

I don't think murderers should have a right painless death sentences. There are practicalities to be involved and they are convicts. It lessens the deterrence. If I can't kill someone, you can't kill someone. There are consequences for actions everybody wants to just tiptoe around.

I personally feel that the required drugs should be compounded using state facilities and standard methods and the rest of the complaining world be damned. The namby pamby citizens whining "foul" should have to provide a suitable alternative in the eyes of the law.

Dance of the Seven Veils Day 2023
Salome and the Executioner
It is telling on the frailty of man when carnal desires can override good judgment.

Perhaps in the end we will realize the errors of our ways and let that which is not ours remain outside our purview.
This was not the fate of Herod when it came to John the Baptist, whom he held prisoner and a dancer named Salome, whom he coveted.

He allowed the guiles of this beautiful young dancer to influence his decision to his personal detriment ...

Today is Dance of the Seven Veils Day.

Each January 22 it commemorates the execution of John the Baptist by Herod Antipas. He did this at the behest of Salome the middle eastern dancer for whom he exhibited great lust.

Josephus tells us that John the Baptist was imprisoned at Machaerus.

It was here he was slain because the king was afraid that John had sufficient clout to influence the start of a rebellion.

Be all of this as it may he became a martyr of Christ and has been venerated by all of Christianity ever since.

Mathew 14

14:1  At that time Herod the tetrarch heard of the fame of Jesus,
14:2  And said unto his servants, This is John the Baptist; he is risen from the dead; and therefore mighty works do shew forth themselves in him.
14:3  For Herod had laid hold on John, and bound him, and put him in prison for Herodias' sake, his brother Philip's wife.
14:4  For John said unto him, It is not lawful for thee to have her.
14:5  And when he would have put him to death, he feared the multitude, because they counted him as a prophet.
14:6  But when Herod's birthday was kept, the daughter of Herodias danced before them, and pleased Herod.
14:7  Whereupon he promised with an oath to give her whatsoever she would ask.
14:8  And she, being before instructed of her mother, said, Give me here John Baptist's head in a charger.
14:9  And the king was sorry: nevertheless for the oath's sake, and them which sat with him at meat, he commanded it to be given her.
14:10 And he sent, and beheaded John in the prison.
14:11 And his head was brought in a charger, and given to the damsel: and she brought it to her mother.
14:12 And his disciples came, and took up the body, and buried it, and went and told Jesus.
14:13 When Jesus heard of it, he departed thence by ship into a desert place apart: and when the people had heard thereof, they followed him on foot out of the cities.
14:14 And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick.
14:15 And when it was evening, his disciples came to him, saying, This is a desert place, and the time is now past; send the multitude away, that they may go into the villages, and buy themselves victuals.
14:16 But Jesus said unto them, They need not depart; give ye them to eat.
14:17 And they say unto him, We have here but five loaves, and two fishes.
14:18 He said, Bring them hither to me.
14:19 And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude
14:20 And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the fragments that remained twelve baskets full
14:21 And they that had eaten were about five thousand men, beside women and children.
14:22 And straightway Jesus constrained his disciples to get into a ship, and to go before him unto the other side, while he sent the multitudes away.
14:23 And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone.
14:24 But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary.
14:25 And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea.
14:26 And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear.
14:27 But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.
14:28 And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.
14:29 And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.
14:30 But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.
14:31 And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?
14:32 And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased.
14:33 Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God.
14:34 And when they were gone over, they came into the land of Gennesaret.
14:35 And when the men of that place had knowledge of him, they sent out into all that country round about, and brought unto him all that were diseased;
14:36 And besought him that they might only touch the hem of his garment: and as many as touched were made perfectly whole.

International Sweatpants Day 2023
    sweatpants
I'm not one to wear sweatpants, sweatsuits, and other similar athletic attire for various personal reasons.

I don't like the loose fit, sloppy appearance, or lack of solid suspensory support for my package.

They have never been appropriate in any venue in which I have found myself ... not even those rare athletic ones.

I prefer a much more civilized pair of gaberdines in both long pants and shorts by far.

Back in the day I watched The Big Bang Theory and one of the secondary characters was Captain Sweatpants portrayed by Ian Scott Rudolph.

He was funny and relevant to the plot but also typifies my qualms with wearing those garments myself ...

Today is International Sweatpants Day. It goes down each January 21.

The conventional wisdom holds that the day is celebrated by wearing sweatpants for the entire day.

Inasmuch as I do not own a pair of sweatpants and have no intentions of ever buying another I am afraid that I can never participate in the celebration.

I suppose I'll just have to suffer through it all sweatpantsless.

Sorry !

Take a walk outdoors Day 2023
The Riverwalk in West Columbia SC
I used to go for walks and attain some modicum of exercise for a signficant portion of my life.

I would go to the Riverwalk in Lexington and Richland counties and hike about for a couple hours several times weekly.

I used to enjoy it and the health benefits were sigificant.

Today is Take A Walk Outdoors Day.

It occurs each January 20 and provides a reason to go outside for a walk.

You can hike the countryside alone or with another.

I used to walk the concrete sidewalk corridors uptown with my girl back when I was working.

Haven't seen those days for a long time either.

Taking a walk is very good for your health.

I keep promising myself I'm going to get back out there and do some walking once again.

It is not enough to talk about it, however.

Happy Take a walk outdoors Day.

Good Memory Day 2023
    at the river
These days my memory is pretty good. As a result I have many memories upon which to draw when I collect my thoughts.

I remember mess that I should have discarded long ago. Then it throws up blocks on sigificant data like multiplcation tables.

It is at once soothing and infuriating. It's been this way all my life.

Good memories punctuate all the others. I remember the good times and the bad. I remember who took care of me when I couldn't take care of myself. This has made me a strong proponent of the fifth commandment.

My brain, though as complex as any other is not that to which I attribute many of my memories.

Somehow I feel that they also are triggered by my heart.

Today is Good Memory Day.

It hapens each January 19 and was established to encourage us to reserve time for positive thoughts and not leave them delegated to the past.

I try to remember the good times that the bad won't predominate anything.

Happy Good Memory Day to you and I hope all your memories are fond ones.
