It's Confederate Heroes’ Day. This is a April 26 observance each year and a Southern tradition.
The day commemorates all the confederate soldiers who died for their country in the American Civil War.
We remember the sacrifices and achievements of the confederate soldiers who did their utmost and gave their all standing for that which they believed.
Their struggles are not forgotten despite the insipid stupid woke who see nothing but racist ideology when they view the confederate battle flag.
They are our lost sons and daughters, our ancestors who were called to arms.
Confederate Heroes Day aka Confederate Memorial Day aka Confederate Decoration Day, is a state holiday celebrated in the southern United States to commemorate the approximately 260,000 Confederate soldiers who lost their lives in the American Civil War.
It was first celebrated in 1866. The day is shifted about somewhat on the calendar in some states.
I lost ancestors on both sides of the civil war. I decline to allow those who would cast aspersions on the honored dead to stand before me anytime anywhere. It's about heritage, not racism.
