When I was teaching college I frequently caught Tyler Perry's "Meet the Browns" on the television out in rural Aiken County.

The hallmark of many of the episodes were the outrageous trousers (and shirts) worn by the lead character "Brown". I say, I even went dressed as Brown one Halloween ...

But I'm afraid I was not well received. However, that group in which I circulated was a treacherous bunch of hypocritical back stabbers. I now have had another group comprising my inner circle for many years now.

Today is Wrong Trousers Day.

It is a July 1 this year and is a Brit construct which has migrated across the pond.

It is a vehicle for the support and funding of hospitals and hospices across the United Kingdom.

It's a day to don the most wacky pants you have and parade them around proudly — like Brown did on the televison show.

The Brits say donate to the cause for the "right to look wrong".

The day is designed to raise awareness, fundage, and a few eyebrows.

Go get them !
 

So the mail server will now allow mail ports from any IP not blocked by a server control file. Those IP addresses who attempt to utilize other ports will be firewalled in accordance with the appropriate IP tables.

This was effected in an attempt not to have to play around excessively with the mail server, i.e. block everyone in the presence of a few exploiters.

So the web server will stop you dead in your tracks over 80 and 443 if you transgress my content with some attempt at exploitation.

Inasmuch as those are the only ports open anyhow I suppose it doesn't make too much difference. I remain amused at the attempts such as that to exploit the USB ports over 80 or 443 as if you were really going anywhere. I just wish the general populace were more behaved when it comes to the internet of things belonging to someone else.

Sometimes our cohorts really don't have a clue ... or any manners.
 

Forgiveness covers the act of forgiving. It means to pardon another for transgressions against you. It implies both the act of forgiving as well as the state of being forgiven. In Biblical context it is the forgiveness of sin or of injuries. It implies a disposition to pardon aka a willingness to forgive.

I have been subject to forgiveness. I have also experienced it being withheld by others. Whereas in a younger day I might fret and worry in the midst of such antics nowadays I just shrug it off and "poof" I'm no longer burdened with either seeking or wanting any measure of forgiveness for myself.

It comes from being exposed to one too many human slimeballs I suppose.

Today is Forgiveness Day. It happens each June 26th since 1994 under the auspices of the Christian Embassy of Christ’s Ambassadors. It is not Global Forgiveness day which happens on July 7th and is actually an off-shoot of Forgiveness Day.

The Bible states that in order to be forgiven you must forgive.

I try to go there each time forgiveness becomes an issue in my life. Luckily this doesn't happen much anymore. I try to discard old grievances or grudges and forgive those who have done me wrong. Ann Leath, Jimmy Koosa, Jim Smith, and most others with whom I have come into conflict are no longer issues in my life for scores of years nowadays. I find it makes the day less contentious for me personally and I sleep much better. Age and maturity has certain unspoken benefits.

Forgiveness is not necessarily forgetting. Just because you forgive someone you don't have to coddle nor socialize with them otherwise. Try to forgive. If you can forgive and forget all the better.
 

The United Nations Public Service Day happens each June 23. It is a "UN Public Service Day" allegedly to “celebrate the value and virtue of public service to the community”. IMHO it is subterfuge to disguise the true aim of the UN and it's various agencies.

The United Nations recognizes that the vast bulk of the population of the Earth declines to indulge in intellectual affairs. This makes them ripe for the picking — to be used spitefully as a resource from which assets and possessions are to be fleeced in the name of something which on the surface "appears" benign yet has a most morbid methodology of attainment.
 

Sustainability

A means of configuring civilization and human activity so that society, its members and its economies are able to meet their needs and express their greatest potential in the present, while preserving biodiversity and natural ecosystems, planning and acting for the ability to maintain these ideals for future generations.

Ah yes, it "SOUNDS" good, but what they propose is to confine populations to small areas called "15 minute cities" and have green spaces which are essentially "no mans land" replete with machine gun towers whereby you are terminated with extreme prejudice if you trespass. Regardless of the fact that you are a citizen of the country and the UN owns nothing they are controlling.

Then these primarily third world dirtbags want to take everything you own and everything you have saved from you and distribute it to other people even thought they have never worked a day in their lives.

As if you "owe" it to them just because the UN thinks it's proper.

When you see the United Nations think of the death they wish to deal to you and that confiscation they propose of your worldly possessions with the redistribution across the globe of everything you've worked for in your life.

We need to get the United States out of the UN. We need to get the United States out of the stupid World Health Organiztion their medical arm of plandemic idiots and shysters they want to place in control of you and yours.

These people are trying to take over the entirety of the earth and they will manipulate you however they see fit in their aim to destroy you and take what is yours. These third world countries want to control your very existence.

They are stupid people lead by megalomaniac psychopaths such as Bill Gates and Klaus Schwab. They propose stupid fifteen minute cities to keep you hostage and under their control. Disband the United Nations before it's too late. The progressives in the United States are onboard with this world domination crap. I'm not going to allow it to contain in my life. I shall resist by any means necessary. New York City be damned.

The sweltering heat has us thinking air conditioning. I am on my second HVAC unit in my homestead. I opted for the recommendation of Mike with Tri-City Fuel & Heating who gave me an Armstrong 4 ton unit with gas furnace and encased evaporative coil.

It has three discreet units but two of those are in the attic on a platform they constructed for that purpose. The big thing you see on the side of my house is just part of the equation.

They were a couple of days getting here but once they got hot they had everything going in a day. The lead installer was skilled at metal work and fabricated custom duct attachments and it has been working great since they finished the job.

Today is National HVAC Tech Day. It has existed since 2016 under the auspices of ARS/Rescue Rooter. It is meant to honor those persons involved in keeping us warm and cool in the range of extremes we experience with the weather and seasons.

When you sport the amount of technology I have going on climate control becomes a priority.
