When I was a kid I listened to the Souther-Hillman-Furray band because it suited my then country flavored musical tastes.
It was lead by J D Souther, the songwriters Hall of Fame inductee who had hit collaborations with Bonnie Raitt, James Taylor, Dan Fogleberg, Don Henley, Christopher Cross, the Eagles, Roy Orbison, and Linda Ronstadt.
I'd like to state here that I'm not a fan of 'hits' as it were.
I prefer "non-hit" versions of standards and music you don't encounter in some dull and commonplace top 40 survey.
I reject the entire notion of musical "good hits" because I don't feel there is any such thing.
Patooey !
