National Work From Home Day 2025

  work from home

When I was working for a local incorporated municipality we were forced to work from home by the city manager who was a stupid democrat touting the same incorrect and deadly COVID vaccine bullshit while taking all of her queues from the dumbass Biden administration.

This was the beginning of the end for me because I viewed all of this as a ploy to stay home and screw off and still be paid because this dullard didn't do much of anything anyway aside from adding employees to fill those never ending holes in her knowledge and awareness.

Such are the notions of those with ulterior motives ...

Particularly when they have the intellect of a rock.

Personally, I am always someone who needed somewhere to go. For me work was that outlet.

I never viewed COVID as all that much of a personal threat and when the government became involved in such "plandemic" operations was just another reason to leave the democrats infesting the workplace like so many cockroaches so I wouldn't have to look at their lazy stupid dumb asses anymore. The attempts to force what has turned out to be a deadly vaccine on the employees are even more damning on these senseless shortsighted human being remnants of the gd Coble administration put in place by the conniving negro charles austin.

Working from home only created a vacuum in my workday and caused me to become contemptuous of the stupid employees who wanted this misrepresentation of efficiency. Needless to say I did not remain much longer in this get over place because I grew sick of the moron leadership geometrically with each passing incompetent day. Where are the death squads when you really need them, anyway?

Today is National Work From Home Day.

Working from home remains a valuable commodity in the lives of many. If it's something you value go for it. Even now in retirement I would just as soon not be bothered.

National Day of Joy 2025
Overwhelming feelings of great pleasure and happiness are not something I experience every day. Alas, my interludes of Joy are sometimes far and few between. At any rate, today is one of those days we should attempt finding happiness outside the norms for which society calls.

Today is National Day of Joy.

It is observed on the last Wednesday of June since 2019 under the auspices of Comfort Keepers, a group of senior care givers — which makes it June 25th this year.

It is said that each joyful moment improves well being and this is not a function of circumstance but it is an ability to rejoice over the small things and at all times.

jumping for joy

•  Be kind to others.
•  Laugh out loud.
•  Engage in music and singing for they are great sources of joy to the human spirit.
•  Stop and smell the roses.
•  Admire family members.
•  Enjoy your surroundings and the moment.

These are those elements for which National Day of Joy was created.

Try not to compare yourself to others, but engage other people and start talking to those in your midst. This can ignite the fires of joy in your spirit.

Now go forth and share that joy which abides within you. Have a happy National Day of Joy.

Midsummer 2025
Midsummer
June 24 brings us Midsummer, a day for appreciating nature and all the gifts accompanying it.

The holiday originates in Sweden and is now observed internationally.

Actually in the Middle Ages, Germany had its own Midsummer rituals and these were adopted by Sweden.

The day began as a pagan ritual for fertility and a successful harvest during the Stone Age.

It is marked with rituals and the giving of thanks.

Central to the observance was the belief that spirits were free to roam the earth as the sun was turned southerly.

Spookage.

The holiday is wildly popular in Sweden and I can certainly see why.

I wouldn't even need a maypole to enjoy it immensely.

Happy Midsummer to you.

Let it Go Day 2025
    Let it go
In the past I was not really known for letting things go. I hear that I bore grudges and become combative at some confrontations. Luckily I no longer mingle much but find the company I do keep to be quite tolerable.

I suppose I'm "happier" now that I no longer dwell on every single negative in my midst. The act of moving on has been something I was slow to fully grasp. I'm glad I finally arrived to the point where I can let (some) things go.

Today is Let it Go Day.

It is observed each year June on 23 under the auspices of Thomas and Ruth Roy of Wellcat Holidays & Herbs.

The conquering of regret in general has been a slow process. I've misstepped far more times than I would have liked — but this being said I feel things were learned in that process of making mistakes, amending them, and moving on.

So in the name of Let it Go Day I try to find positivity, contentment, and peace in life.

Yeah, I'll still say what I think I just don't try to live in those moments beyond the time it takes to state how I feel.

I've been working on grudges and other notions of negativity that used to cloud my thinking all the time.

I really try to Let it Go anymore.

Elizabeth Warren's birthday 2025
Elizabeth pathological liar Warren ... appropriately on the left
It's Elizabeth Warren's birthday. She is a US Senator because the voters of Massachusetts are stupid woke gullible people. A proven pathological liar she calls herself a "progressive" and true to form this apellation is a misnomer.

She is out for herself first and then every woke cause her feeble brain may embrace. She hooks up with the Squad for photo opportunities and like them you can tell when she is lying because her lips move.

She misrepresented herself as Native American during the 2016 presidential campaign when Donald Trump began using the name “Pocahontas” to point out the fabrications in her seeking undue fundage from the government like the leech that she is.

Her claims of Native American ancestry were challenged as being highly exaggerated. Her 2020 Presidential Campaign Strategy was to reject large contributions from donors and PACs and she has proven herself unreliable to voters by and large. So much for being the unifying candidate as she tried to portray herself.

She spoke to the National Congress of American Indians Executive Council Winter Session and Tribal Nations Policy Summit in Washington, DC on February 14, 2018, ostensibly to make ammends for claiming to be something she is not: a true Native American, though she claimed and received financial aid based on that lie.

She is trying to turn the student loan recipients into a bunch of deadbeats similar to herself and other democrats on the dole or simply robbing the governement at every opportunity.

She views the Department of Education as essential and worked against the nomination of Mr Hegseth as Secretary of Defense. She was overly critical of American businesses and attempted to implement policies that could harm the economy. Her "Accountable Capitalism Act" is rather like the idiotic rantings of a female Bernie Sanders with overtones of frankly socialist policies.

So happy birthday Fauxcahontas. Now do the nation a big favor and crawl back under that rock of fake Native heritage from which you came to spout your lies and missteps and democrat nonsense.

Violence is never the answer But people can only be pushed so far.

World Day of Music 2025
    Moog theremin
I have a musical bent I cannot suppress.

It has caused me to buy a number of musical instrument which I did not pursue over time resulting in frustration of that music within me that I cannot express.

Today is World Day of Music, aka Fête de la Musique which originated in France but is more widely recognized of late.

It began under the auspices of one Maurice Fleuret, Director of Music and Dance at the Ministry of Culture. The slogan of the day is "Faites de la musique" which translates to "Make music". It is observed each June 21 and expresses the universal appeal of music to the masses.

The day has evolved become known as World Day of Music, World Music Day, or International Music Day. It is meant to inspire people to interact with all types of music, tonality, and harmonics. It is also supposedly a social media hook.

I see myself as acquiring and playing the theremin. This is an electronic musical instrument which uses tone generation via two high frequency oscillators with the pitch being control by movement of the hands either toward to away from the circuit.

I certainly have never viewed myself as anything mainstream.

National Flip Flop Day 2025
flip flops
When I was younger I enjoyed wearing flip flops.

My years as a Navy brat showed me places where they were appropriate and I certainly took the opportunity to utilize them on the various beaches and just as knock abouts around my homes.

Today is National Flip Flop Day.

The day is held the Wednesday after Memorial Day.

The design of the modern Flip Flop was originally inspired by the Japanese ‘

Their construction originated in purely natural materials.

As time evolved their construction migrated to the rubber and other synthetic materials which became available down the road.

The literature suggests that the flip flop owes it's existence solely to the Japanese.

From what I have seen I would have to agree.

Though I don't view flip flops as a fashion statement by any means I can say that I have been one to wear them and I wouldn't mind having a pair right now ...

But I don't.

At any rate, happy National Flip Flop Day to you !

If you got 'emwear 'em.

International Panic Day 2025
    rosie odonnell
So today is International Panic Day.

It is observed each June 18 in the name of that panic which arises occasionally when you're out of control from either profound fright

... Or mere stupidity.

It's supposed to be a tongue in cheek celebration of panic among the masses.

It is ideally spreading awareness of mental health issues.

Regardless of how serene your exterior, this day is for you to let your fears and panic over worries spew forth like the spittle from Rosie O'donnells stupid mouth.

The day is about stress and anxiety coming to the fore in your life.

Try not to take it too seriously and have it all force you to move to Ireland or something in all your incompetence as a human being.

Proof positive that dykes are unfit to be parents at any level.

Trans rights do not exist, stupid.

Fresh Veggies Day 2025
Basket of Veggies
I don't eat all the vegetables that I should. My description of my dietary habits would certainly gravitate towards "carnivore" were it left up to me.

I feel that I make up for any shortcomings with suppliments and I try to eat vegetables as often as I can.

Today is Fresh Veggies Day.

It is observed each June 16 in commemoration of the nutritional value of fresh vegetables and their importance to human health.

Fresh vegetables are the said to be the best sources of micronutrients which augment metabolism, growth, development, and disease prevention.

The natural fiber content in vegetables helps prevent mechanical bowel issues up to and including colon cancer.

So get out there and consume fresh vegetables as often as you can.

Nature Photography Day 2025
    Ansel Adams foliage shot
I was once a nature kind of guy. I would tromp around the local woodlands and all up and down the river in search of a little elevated heartbeat and sweat.

Today is Nature Photography Day held under the auspices of the North American Nature Photography Association since 2006.

It is observed on June 15 promote nature and enjoy capturing it at its very best over the summer.

Nature is ubiquitous and you enjoy it when you encounter it and record those moments for posterity.

Back in my photography days I used a GAF-LCS and a Yashica TL-ElectroX. These were film based SLR cameras. I recall the buying of film, the processing costs, and wondering just where I went wrong on the photographic front ... Nowadays, I am known to catch a sloppy digital photo every now and then with my cell. Nature Photography Day gives rise to memories of those times and places I used to prowl camera at the ready — as I approach the autumn of my years.

The North American Nature Photography Association created Nature Photography Day in 2006 to encourage people to learn about and enjoy capturing the beauty of nature.

You only go through once. Try to go for the gusto in everything you do.

Happy Nature Photography Day !

International Bath Day 2025
bath tub
The act of bathing takes several environmental forms.

Soaking in a tub. Rinsing in a shower. The river. The lake. The Ocean.

There are so many variants, some strictly hygienic forms others mostly recreation.

I have a jacuzzi bath tub and a water closet among my facilities and I make use of both of them.

Today is International Bath Day.

The day is supposed to correspond to that on which famous Greek mathematician, scientist, and scholar Archimedes discovery of the weight of water displacement being equal to the weight of something being submerged ... to which he declared 'Eureka'. (I have found it)

So while my baths are more of a hygenic nature I am sure to take a moment to maintain clean. I'm one of these guys who is self aware and pursuant to acceptable levels of personal maintenance for health and well being. I have been known to overdo it on the clean side of the equation.

It's just something I feel is important, so I pursue the bath or shower vigorously. There's something about being fresh out the bath or shower that just makes you more ... presentable.

National Blame Someone Else Day 2025
    affixing blame
I recall the infantile days of affixing blame to others for anything and everything.

The blame game was one of those passages which marked maturity as far as I am concerned.

When I stopped trying to blame others I immediately assumed much more in the way of responsibility and forward motion in my own endeavors.

Today is National Blame Someone Else Day.

It is held on the first Friday the 13th of the year, which is June 13, 2025 this year.

The day is said to have roots in a particular Friday the 13th in 1982 when one Anne Moelle’s alarm clock failed to go off resulting in a full day of bad luck.

So, now we have the opportunity to enjoy an entire day of blaming other people for any and everything that is, has, or will go wrong in our own sphere of existence.

But in the end can we really sustain such behavior in the name of practicality?

Happy National Blame Someone Else Day. Try to take a little responsibility for your own life.
