My final word for 2018

My final word for 2018 is stupidity. This refers to behavior revealing a lack of good judgment or common sense. It brings to mind specific individuals who I'd just as soon never hear from or about ever again.

Pelosi

Nancy Pelosi

Described as "mind numbingly stupid" by members of the true intelligentsia this woman is known for numerous live camera mind farts during interviews and a dishonesty rivaling only George Soros in it's astounding rude and disrespectful impudence.

She is a player of games out to fleece the tax payers for everything they are worth as evidenced by her continued status among the so-called "progressives" and democrats who are right in there with her wanting to take The Republic to the cleaners at each and every opportunity.

    Schumer

Chuck Schumer

This anus touts a lack of decorum all the while backstabbing bearing false witness toward the conservatives.

He has even had the gall to step to the podium and speak of the importance of "civility" and "respect" in political discourse while he casts aspersions continuously and attempts to attack The President and his success with policy.

Typical New Yorker 'preferred pronoun' mentality born of a failure to grasp reality.

Waters

Maxine Waters

Ms Waters gets the miscongeniality vote for her boorish and socially inept remarks which keep spewing form her stupid pie hole. Calling for public attacks on the conservative and even those trying to make a living working for conservatives.

Her numerous perverse tirades include tips on how the opposition should respond to election losses such as

If you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd, and you push back on them and you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere.

A democratic rose by any other name would still smell like the cold dead fish she is.

    Booker

Cory Booker

This ignoramus maximus has become legend for allowing his alligator mouth to outdo his hummingbird ass with antics and phony shows of self agrandizement and false accusations.

This unhinged yankee bullshitter should think before he opens his stupid mouth.

I'm surprised that the fools in Orangeburg, South Carolina held a 'meet and greet' for him speaking volumes for our local democratic party which like the national group should be disbanded as the lack of grasp mean spirited poor sport tax and spend players of the voters they are.

It is a surprising notion to think that the voters of New Jersey could be this stupid as well. I used to think I had a lot of friends in New Jersey. I'm beginning to wonder if I even WANT friends from New Jersey since the advent of this clown Mr Booker.

Last Weekend of 2018
2019

Today I commence my final weekend of this year. Tuesday we will be in 2019. My yard is a mess due to all of the lumberjacking and demolition of the old shed.

As I embark on a new year I hope that I don't screw this one up as badly as I did last year.

There is something to be said for orderly progression and somewhere this became lost in the fray of everything going on.

I'm thankful to finally get my mail server wound up. It sure did take too long but all the rules changed.

That one silver lining remains the enhanced set up background I obtained during the process.

Here's to the upcoming new year and all the promise appertaining thereto !

Remembering Debbie Reynolds
    Debbie Reynolds 1998
My earliest memories of Debbie Reynolds involved her recording of the song Tammy and the subsequent television program spin off which was a staple of my young childhood ... because it was able to hold my interest.

Tammy TV Show

Mary Frances Reynolds of El Paso, Texas, became the screen actress Debbie Reynolds commencing a career at MGM at age 16.

Joining Gene Kelly in Singin' in the Rain in the year of 1952 with her quick study abilities she became an accomplished dancer before the age of twenty.

She passed from a stroke on December 28, 2016, but a day after the death of her daughter Carrie Fisher.

It was a sad moment for me personally and marked the end of a career based on more talent and none of that risque behavior too many of today's film artists rely on nowadays to hold the attention of their audience.

Tammy

I hear the cottonwoods whisperin' above
Tammy, Tammy, Tammy's in love
The old hootie owl hootie-hoo's to the dove
Tammy, Tammy, Tammy's in love
Does my lover feel what I feel when he comes near?
My heart beats so joyfully
You'd think that he could hear
Wish I knew if he knew what I'm dreaming of
Tammy, Tammy, Tammy's in love
Whippoorwill, whippoorwill, you and I know
Tammy, Tammy can't let him go
The breeze from the bayou keeps murmuring low
Tammy, Tammy, you love him so
When the night is warm, soft and warm
I long for his charms
I'd sing like a violin
If I were in his arms
Wish I knew if he knew what I'm dreaming of
Tammy, Tammy, Tammy's in love

Infuriating Politics
No Stupid People Beyond This Point
The politics of late have proven quite infuriating.

There is the stupidity of the "no borders" left thinking we need to allow all of the freeloaders from anywhere into the country so they can all vote democratic for more dole and taxes of the worker to give to the shirker.

There is that influx by the illegals from the southern border that Chuck Shumer thinks doesn't require the protection of a wall.

Personally, I hope that the President sticks to his guns and presses on for what we need in border security.

Then there are the criminals who are in the country thinking they may run ripshod all over the law abiding citizens as though they own them.

The "preferred personal pronoun" set with their idiocratic mendacity calling a man a woman or a woman a man and thinking it is okay to indoctrinate children into that fallacy because they want the successive generations to believe that sick behaviors are normal. They are not.

The holiday season is not a time to have to cope with such goings on and the tidings should be of good will toward men ... but here's to hoping that George Soros gets his in the most heinous painful manner and all of those cronies taking his money find similar fates involving suitable endings of the madness.

Happy Holidays you stupid leftists, antifa, social justice warriors, feminazis, and other miscreant lack logic people.

The rest of you please disregard this rant as a figment of the stupidity called modern reality in which we find ourselves immersed.

I'll just cringe on and try to remain silent.

Saint Stephens Day 2018
    Saint Stephen
One of my favorite topics of a biblical nature is Stephen, the protomartyr of Christianity.

His place, though not unique in the annals of scripture is nonetheless significant as he was both a professor of Yeshua the Christ and influenced others who came later ... on top of being the first murdered for practicing his faith.

Saint Stephen was the first martyr of the Christian faith as written in the Book of Acts of the Apostles.

His teachings while a deacon in the early church in Jerusalem angered members of various synagogues whereby he was accused of blasphemy and stoned to death.

Saul of Tarsus who later became the Apostle Paul held the cloaks of those who stoned Saint Stephen.

There are fairly extensive accounts of his relics being found later which were exhumed from where they lay buried beneath a church.

The opening of his tomb at this time was accompanied by a sweet bouquet which permeated the local area and remained for an extended period.

Today is his feast day and is featured in the traditional Christmastide carol Good King Wenceslas which is about an episode in the life the Bohemian King Václav the Good prior to the time he too was who was murdered — by a group lead by his evil brother.

The Gospel According to Luke

2:1And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be taxed.
2:2(And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.)
2:3And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city.
2:4And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:)
2:5To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child.
2:6And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.
2:7And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.
2:8And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
2:9And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.
2:10And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
2:11For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
2:12And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
2:13And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
2:14Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
2:15And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us.
2:16And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger.
2:17And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child.
2:18And all they that heard it wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds.
2:19But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart.
2:20  And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them.

Christmas Eve 2018
Santa Claus
A Visit from St. Nicholas
By Clement Clarke Moore

'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse;
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there;
The children were nestled all snug in their beds;
While visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads;
And mamma in her 'kerchief, and I in my cap,
Had just settled our brains for a long winter's nap,
When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.
The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow,
Gave a lustre of midday to objects below,
When what to my wondering eyes did appear,
But a miniature sleigh and eight tiny rein-deer,
With a little old driver so lively and quick,
I knew in a moment he must be St. Nick.
More rapid than eagles his coursers they came,
And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name:
"Now, Dasher! now, Dancer! now Prancer and Vixen!
On, Comet! on, Cupid! on, Donner and Blitzen!
To the top of the porch! to the top of the wall!
Now dash away! dash away! dash away all!"

As leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,
When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky;
So up to the housetop the coursers they flew
With the sleigh full of toys, and St. Nicholas too—
And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof
The prancing and pawing of each little hoof.
As I drew in my head, and was turning around,
Down the chimney St. Nicholas came with a bound.
He was dressed all in fur, from his head to his foot,
And his clothes were all tarnished with ashes and soot;
A bundle of toys he had flung on his back,
And he looked like a pedler just opening his pack.
His eyes—how they twinkled! his dimples, how merry!
His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry!
His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow,
And the beard on his chin was as white as the snow;
The stump of a pipe he held tight in his teeth,
And the smoke, it encircled his head like a wreath;
He had a broad face and a little round belly
That shook when he laughed, like a bowl full of jelly.
He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf,
And I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself;
A wink of his eye and a twist of his head
Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread;
He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,
And filled all the stockings; then turned with a jerk,
And laying his finger aside of his nose,
And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose;
He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.
But I heard him exclaim, ere he drove out of sight—
"Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good night!"

Christmas Eve Eve 2018
South Park Santa
Well, it's the day before Christmas Eve and we're going to visit a few relatives in preparation for the rapidly approaching holidays.

Yesterday Mom and I did a smidge of shopping and I ended up going to the bank and getting a few bills to pass around instead of persisting to fight the raging hoardes in the stores.

I was amazed on my way home as I went under each road crossing the interstate there was bumper to bumper traffic above me the entire way.

I skeetzed home from Lexington and lost most of the other motorists as soon as I got down Mineral Springs around the traffic circle.

Reaching home, I unloaded the truck and opted for a bit of a nap because my life has evolved into a napping thing since I worked at the handbell place. I have often wondered why I ever left there.

Anyway ... Christmas is coming on down and I'm finally ready. Gonna kiss me some babies hand out some loot and get on with it tomorrow afternoon.

The Lottie Moon Offering
    Lottie Moon
Charlotte Digges "Lottie" Moon
December 12, 1840 – December 24, 1912
In my old age I have divorced myself from 'demoninational' Christianity. I view it as dividing and against those teachings I hold as appropriate tenets in my life and undertakings.

However, early on I attended whichever church appealed to Mama for she was the Christian anchor and family member who tended to my moral upbringing.

Later it was the Methodist denomination. Early on it was the Baptists who were those with whom we worshipped.

When I was a kid at Thalia Lynn Baptist Church in Virginia Beach Virginia one of those annual observances was the Lottie Moon offering and I noticed that she was held in high esteem by the church in general.

She was a Southern Baptist missionary in China under the auspices of the Foreign Mission Board and lived and worked in China from 1873 rhough 1912.

She is known for creating a solid foundation for missions among the Southern Baptist denomination through their Woman's Missionary Union.

As an early feminist pioneer she worked for women's equality — but she remains remembered as a traditional missionary and for all the moralist connotations that pertain to that calling.

Winter Solstice 2018
Cold Moon

We mark one of those seasonal milestones which has arrived in the holiday season.

Today is Winter Solstice, marking the farthest positioning of the Northern Hemisphere from the sun.

These celestial highlights never cease to pique my interest.

This solstice presents with a full moon known as a "cold moon" ... named for the advent of Winter.

It also will feature the Ursid meteor shower which is active each year between December 17 through 24.

It typically peaks around December 23 with about 10 meteors in an hour.

So we have the shortest day with a full moon and meteor shower. Quite the end of year show.

5 More Days Til Christmas
Hanging Christmas Balls
As I putz around into the evenings on my server array after hours I take pause to consider all the benefits this has given me. That ecstatic acquisition of technological informaton once unknown to me is internalized.

Whereas I had superficial comprehension in two areas critical to my now ... there is virtually complete understanding.

So Christmas finds me really wanting to do a lot of shopping.

I can't get Mama to tell me what she wants. All I can do is get her something I think she can use and call it a day. We will be visiting some of the children in the clan either shortly before or thereafter and therein lay the bulk of my shopping duties.

Then there is the workaday world and that different set of duties which take precedent in my life.

All in all this Christmas season has me feeling grateful. I'm appreciative of those problems I have solved. I'm thankful for those challenges which remain. Mostly, I just want continued growth and health and to be there for those who really need me. That list dwindles every day.

I'm NOT a Transhumanist
    Singularity Brain
That wish to become augmented. To have the addition of genetic modifications, cyborg appliances, and aid the evolutionary process beyond that which Darwin covered so long ago.

While I'm sure there will be a lot in the way of advancements in immunology, genetics, neurology, and most certainly metabolism and other aspects of the living human ... something about genetic editing and the subsequent products are quite the disturbing thought for me personally.

Heck, I won't even (knowingly) eat GMO type foods. That test tube steak they just cooked up recently didn't ever stand a chance landing on my plate.

I just feel there are appropriate venues for meddling with configuations and my food simply isn't one of them.

This is not to say that I wouldn't undergo some genetic editing if I thought there were significant gains to be had.

Unlike the technologists and transhumanists of our era I simply cannot call these interventions in our biological processes "investment in the future".

Surely the life expectancy would have gone up instead of taking the rather precipitous drop it has in the United States of late.

Then you have the ridiculous brigand Obama who single handedly ruined The Republic with that poof he married and now wishes to divorce ... all the while trying to take credit for the successes of the next administration.

We need to avoid more errors of judgement like electing these libtards and progressives. I view some of the things on the agenda of transhumanist progression to be similarly bad for people in general.

We certainly could get the 'natural' person more correct prior to modifying some damaged goods in the name of repairs or augmentation.

International Migrants Day
As is everything else with the United Nations, International Migrants Day — which is a day to mark the plight of migrants internationally is the same farce as everything else they propose like Agenda 21, world depopulation, New World Order, kowtowing to Brussels and the Rothschild cronies, and so forth and so on ...

The day is observed on December 18 in accordance with Resolution 55/93 which was adopted on December 4, 2000 by their General Assembly.

This day may be observed in many jursidictiions in the name of human rights and designed to ensure the migrant protection ... but as usual they don't take into consideration what it's doing to the countries they've influenced to take on these nasty criminal human beings.

Great Britain is all but ruined by Muslim migrants.
France is ruined by Muslim migrants.
Poland and Italy have had quite enough with the problems and crime Muslim migrants have brought with them.

And these fools in the UN think it is their "right" to rule the world by decree.

Get real United Nations. The best thing for the world is to disband you. Personally, I certainly would like you out of the United States.

Ladies of the Evening
Red Umbrella
When I was a sailor I indulged the sex workers I encountered in various ports. Those experiences ran the gamut of "submediocre" to "cherished memory" and I regret that this is not the only indulgence I have from those days.

I also find myself guilty of mindless swearing which has been a much more difficult habit to shake than indulging those ladies of the evening once a big part of my entertainment scene.

Today is the International Day to End Violence Against Sex Workers. It came about as the results of Gary Leon Ridgway, a prolific serial killer called "the Green River Killer" from Seattle Washington who victimized many in his foray into evil.

This is a day to take note of the many hate crimes committed against workers in the sex industry internationally. Also it brings to light a need to eliminate those stigmata associated with being a sex worker because it is felt this contributes to the problem of violence.

One thing to note is the mistake of classifying this day as a "feminist" observance because feminism has done nothing for anyone, male or female alike. Feminists are typically little bitter females pursuant of some revenge against the XY phenotypes of the world for some perceived wrong doing which is typically vague and over generalized to the population they inhabit.

Decrying violence against any group is a function of humanity, not gender ... so shut up and cart your crayola red and blue haired selves on down the road.

Anyway, stop vicitmizing hookers. Everyone needs to earn money. Some people write computer programs. Others have sex for money. Heck, I'd be a whore if I could but I don't think anyone would pay for my services.

When I was a younger man it was all part and parcel to my life. My age and experience has placed it all in that niche called insignificant to my existence. However, I don't begrudge someone from making a living in this day and age.
