New Ceiling Fans for the Crib
ceiling fans for the crib
Today my nephew installed 4 new ceiling fans in my house.

The old ones were knocking 30 years old and the new ones are a vast improvement from a standpoint of function and contemporary features and design.

In two rooms he installed the Harbor Breeze Hawkesbury.

In the other two rooms he installed the Hunter Khamsin.

I was originally looking to install 4 Hunter Dempseys but their availability was problematic.

The company lost half of the business for this reason.

Everything is brushed nickel finish which suits me fine.

The smaller fans by Harbor Breeze circulate the air well ... and won't be overworked because none of the rooms in my house are very large ... I just have a lot of them.

The bigger fans by Hunter circulate the air even better such that you can feel the breeze and they too are not in rooms that are all that spacious — just larger.

So as time inevitably proceeds, if I get another 30 years out of these like I did the ones they replaced then someone else will likely have to handle that next installation whenever it may be in the future ...

Anyway they are very quiet and don't shake or wobble as they spin.

I'm pretty doggone happy with these developments EXCEPT the LED packages in the Harbor Breeze models were a bit much and appear to be quite the replacement issue if they fail down the road. Sometimes a a good ole bulb socket is superior to an engineered packet of electronics.

We'll just have to see.

Jimi Hendrix Birthday 2022
    Jimi Hendrix

James Marshall Hendrix was known professionally as Jimi Hendrix.

He was a performer from the United States who delved into virtuoso electric guitar, vocals, and and song writing.

His career spanned from 1962 through his untimely death in 1970.

He was born on November 27, 1942 and died from a drug overdose on September 18, 1970.

At that time I was 15 years old.

Had he not died at 27 years old he would have been 80 today. As it stands he is in that group of artists known as "27 Forever" which includes Janis Joplin and Jim Morrison of The Doors.

He lived fast, died young, and left his profound mark on the music industry — becoming one of the biggest influences on the scene of electric guitar and lyrics.

Anyway, though I was late in my appreciation of his music, he had a number of pieces I really enjoyed over the years and I thought it appropriate to speak to his existence on the planet.

Happy birthday in Heaven and rest in peace.

Good Grief Day 2022
Charlie Brown
I recall during my elementary school childhood at Aragona Village in Virginia Beach my enchantment with the peanuts films.

I would catch these on the teevee whenever I could and considered myself fortunate to sit there and watch and listen.

This continued well into my early teens and I always seemed to have time for the Peanuts specials but also didn't even notice the voiceover changes which happened over the years at all.

Today we have Good Grief Day.

It goes down each November 26 to honor the life and the legacy of Charles M Schulz — the cartoonist renoun for his Peanuts troup and those comic strips and television specials which continued posthumously in his name for our entertainment.

Though I'm not really one to watch them now, there was a time when I wouldn't miss one for the world.

They were a comforting interlude in my life at that point.

I also followed the comic strip in the newspapers prior to the fall of our local newspaper to the sorry yellow journalist libtard groups Knight Ridder and McClatchy and yes; I rue them coming into my life.

We can't always have what we want the way we want it.

So much for Snoopy, Charlie Brown, Lucy, Linus, Sally, and the rest of the gang who have withstood the test of time despite the slings and arrows caused by the demise of the newspaper industry and the rest of the libtard mainstream media.

Black Friday 2022
    Black Friday

So the day after Thanksgiving kicks off the traditional first day of the Chistmas shopping season.

The day is replete with alleged special reduced prices from most of the retailers.

Referred to as Black Friday; the term term is likely derived from the proposition that businesses operate at a financial loss, i.e., 'in the red' until the day after Thanksgiving, when massive sales finally allow them to turn a profit, or put them 'in the black'.

The terms clearance, discount, reduction, and sale characterize the day.

Me, I'm staying home. Anymore cash in a Christmas card suffices quite nicely for me, my vendors, and significant others.

I get to feel generous and they get to have a nice lunch or beverage of their choice on me.

Happy Black Friday to you if you choose to join the fray !

Yawn.

Thanksgiving 2022
pending thanksgiving turkey

As the holiday season continues we mark the national holiday called Thanksgiving with religious observances and that traditional meal featuring turkey, dressing, and cranberry sauce.

This we do in commemoration of the first harvest celebrated by the Pilgrims in 1621.

Since then we typically hold Thanksgiving in the United States on the fourth Thursday in November.

Happy Thanksgiving !

What do you love about America Day 2022

I'm afraid that the libtard democrats and their indoctrinated stupidity laden ilk the genZ and Millenials have pretty much quashed What Do You Love About America Day for me personally.

What I love about America is that possibility that the democrat criminal elements which gave rise to the Biden criminal family enterprise and the single most incompetent chief executives since Jimmy Carter then allowed them to profiteer by selling access to the federal government might be thrown up against a wall and shot like their counterparts Nicolae Ceaușescu and his pseudointellectual first bitch Elena.

Adding insult to injury this was all made possible with the active support of the main stream media, the justice department, and the FBI who have been weaponized by the democrats since Obama to the detriment of the nation and the taxpayer.

Surely the evil in The Republic can be eliminated just as the Romainans took charge and routed it out of their government.

The entirety of the world cannot be so totally blind to that point they appear to be.

Execution by firing squad is the perfect solution to the pervasive criminal element we presently find in the government of the United States of America.

A dead criminal can no longer pursue crime. Those who place criminals into public office are criminals as well. The woke and libtard are more than just stupid. They promote criminal government incursions into our life and liberty. This is what happens with indoctrination and the permissive attitude toward sicko educators in the public school system.

The muslims are fed up with pornography in the schools and sexualizing early education. Where are the sense and sensibility of the rest of the nation? Rise up and make yourself heard by the leadership who would permit this indoctrination subterfuge masquerading as education to continue under your very noses.

We've raised generations of idiots who want entitlements and other somethings for nothing.

Shame !

The Republic is under extreme duress

JFK Murdered 59 Years Ago
JFK

When I was 8 years old sitting in Mrs Munyon's 3rd grade classroom at Aragona Elementary School of Jericho Road in Aragona Village, Virginia Beach, Virginia the school intercom came on abruptly and began playing the radio.

We listened to accounts of the assassination of John Fitzgerald Kennedy, 35th president of the United States of America.

A period of grieving ensued for what seemed like an eternity.

I was left feeling vulnerable ... even more than an 8 year old should feel as I watched my mother crying as she viewed the funeral procession on the television set.

It was a very sad period in my life punctuated by my greater understanding of the circumstances and understanding of that treachery which consists of governmental factions who think they are in charge of that which should have belonged to the voters.

So, on November 22, 1963 John Fitzgerald "Jack" Kennedy, 35th President of the United States died at age 46 from gun shot wounds fired by an assassin in Dallas, Texas, United States.

Dulles, Bush, Johnson. The memories haunt me still. Yet the truth will never be revealed because there are too many strange bedfellows in Washington DC.

Go for a Ride Day 2022
Harley Electraglide Ultra Classic in blue

When I was a kid I thought I wanted a motorcycle more than anything.

My daddy even agreed to get me one when I became old enough, though it ended up being a car instead.

Fact was, a motorcycle was likely just a figment of my imagination because as time progressed I saw too many accidents to pursue the thought.

Early on I did have a 50 cc scooter or two but nothing with which I could seriously injure myself.

I was also very happy with the automobile my daddy bought me after I got my drivers license.

Today is Go For A Ride Day.

The day is for you to get out into the world using the vehicle of your choice ...

Or you could simply get out and hoof it on an excursion.

It's not so much about the destination moreso the journey.

My personal conveyance is a pickup truck these days. It's getting on in years and mileage but it has great sentimental value so I've taken excellent care of it and it remains in good shape. I seem to have gravitated toward this type vehicle from the old days when I taught college.

So I will likely get out and go somewhere. Don't know where. Don't care.

Like I said, it's mostly about the journey. Going for a ride is second nature these days.

World Hello Day 2022
wave hello
Hello is that basic greeting that indicates some modicum of social awareness in the presence of one or more others.

It is that moment when you acknowledge company in your midst.

When you greet people, smile, and wave it indicates an ability to communicate — and this is an excellent start for mending fences, building bridges, and even initiating world peace.

Today is World Hello Day.

It provides an opportunity to greet people and recognize the important aspect of daily living known as communication.

Without communication interpersonal relationships break down and everything may become chaotic and unfriendly.

Personally, I prefer a friendly atmosphere as long as you don't subject me to some untenable confounding woke goings on incongruent with my interpretation of reality.

If you're a real person with something to share hello and bring it on. If you're some woke idiot trying to impart your lack of grasp and judgment on others get lost.

Transgender Day of Remembrance 2022
transgender gurkha
    transgender gurkha

I've never been big on 'hate speech'. However, the frankness of my words and fragility of those to whom they are directed cause them to be misconstrued. Oh well, you can't win them all. My relationship to the world is such that I really don't have to care what you think of me personally. Whereas it was once a prime consideration that notion has lost it's luster over the years — particularly of late — given who I am and who too many libtards are. Those dullards called 'democrats' and the screwed up world they have instigated hasn't helped your case either. This being said ...

Transgenders have been murdered, maimed, and otherwise persecuted by others who view their view of themselves as deviant ... and worse — their wish to force their sick views on young elementary and other school children.

While I am bascially a nonviolent, tolerant person, the developments in the transgender and other facets of the 'woke' world have likewise caused me to wish death and destruction on what I view as a miscreant lifestyle, abnormal in every aspect of it's existence. I have a strong aversion to stupid and this is precisely how I vew transsexual lunacy and the entirety of it and other woke failures of reality and science.

I subscribe the the scientific biological definitions of male and female and these boundaries cannot really be crossed, only masked in feeble attempts to obscure the truth ...

The genotype is your genetic makeup which determines your sex or gender.

• If your genotype is XY you are male. If your genotype is XX you are female.
• Within the normal spectrum is the chromosomal mosaic which results in various combinations of "maleness" and "femaleness" in an individual.
• Your phenotype is the outward appearance you project due to dress, cosmetics, and surgery.

These are the ONLY permutations that exist.

You can project one appearance and be something else entirely.

I for one am extremely difficult to fool in this aspect of the farce which is transgenderism. I don't really care what other people think because though I have a lot of faults, but being wrong about this particular topic is NOT one of them. If you subscribe to some notion that you get to pick your sex or gender just because it's "how you feel" you are wildly mistaken.

Trans females remain genetic males. Trans males remain genetic females.

Complicating this already untenable situation are genetic females masquerading as "trans men" who then decide they should bear children. Then there is this ubiquitous complaint by trans females that genetic males decline to date and mate or even interact with them. It seems that trans people can't take the hint that they are deviant imitations of who they portray.

I am all for striking these trans individuals from the record as the abominations that they are. I ultimately wish for Transgender Day of Remembrance to be all that's left of the sick birds known as transgender people on the planet. Those who fail to benefit from past mistakes are pursing extinction ... and so be it. I don't care what you "think" you are or "how you identify"; reality is a harsh teacher so tread widely and softly around me perverts AND don't speak to me in all your stupidity.

National have a bad day Day 2022
    Frazzled Smiley
Ever have a bad day ? I used to have them continually. That's because I was placed in a never ending stream of untenable situations by a director who had no business directing anyone. So much for teaching and the libtard woke democrat idiot educators which predominate the field.

Nowadays my bad days are far and few in between. It's a difficult matter to have a "bad" day when you don't do anything.

I must say that bordom is about the only plague in my existence anymore.

I have a set of duties to which I attend and they mostly surround seeing to the welfare of my dearest mommy.

It's a labor of love for sure and this makes it impossible to have a bad day while engaging those essential duties.

So today is known as Have A Bad Day Day. It happens each November 19 and gives an opportunity to make known our wishes for others to have a happy day even if we find ourselves in less than optimal circumstances.

It is a day to allow feelings to be expressed regarding your bad day.

It is also a day for pranks and making fun of that travesty of existence called the "bad day".

Whatever your orientation to the status of days I hope you have a happy day even if your find it a bad day.

Happy Have A Bad Day Day to you !

Occult Day 2022
Occult Day
The word occult refers to things hidden from view. It is a reference to the supernatural as well as mystical, or magical beliefs, practices, or phenomena.

There was once an adventureous side to my existence which has abated over time. It was a time when I actively pursued the activities of the occult. I was even once foolhardy enough to attempt to evoke demons. I was once one to attempt the casting of spells.

I gave the subject of occult techniques and practices conscientious and lengthy study reading many books on the subject.

I once thought I would put a root on you if you messed with me. I once delved into places and things better left alone. The occult, while fascinating is likewise something with which I ultimately chose to respect and mostly avoid. I recall naive sessions at the ouija board when I didn't know those other worldly things I've experienced since.

Then there was my foray into actual magick and conjuring — and that further reinforced my avoidance of most things occult.

I no longer pursue the supernatural for reasons of my own: I feel that based on personal experience there are forces and entities out there better left to their own devices and other things which should not not be delved into.

You can do and say as you wish but a paranormal investigator is something I will never be at this stage of the game. The thought of picking up some entity attachment due to foray or folly is simply not what I need or seek. The opening of portals and triggering vortexes likewise no longer attract me for fear of those consequences with which thus far I have not been forced to deal.

That "bordom" which is reality (or how I viewed it) suits me just fine these days. For I am older and wiser now and MUCH less impetuous or risk taking than I once was.

World Philosophy Day 2022
    Aristotle
Today is World Philosophy Day. It is one of those things with which I engage myself in an ever evolving attempt to understand my fellow human beings despite those exhibitions of insanity I perceive in the way of transsexuality, woke culture, and cancel culture.

I view these as the overstepping of individuals with a distinct lack of raising and I really don't care where the fault of these transgressions lay — only that I reject them vigorously in keeping with those tenets which were imparted to me during my raising.

So philsophy, meaning "love of wisdom" and being the study of the fundamental nature of knowledge, reality, and existence lends itself readily to those evaluations and critical thinking endeavors when considering the actions and motivations of others.

There are three main areas of philosophy. They are ethics, epistemology and metaphysics.

Likewise, there are branches of the discipline. Axiology which is the study of the nature of value and valuation and Metaphysics which studies the nature of reality.

Philosophy is said to have four "pillars"

• theoretical philosophy consisting of metaphysics and epistemology
• practical philosophy comprised of ethics, social and political philosophy, aesthetics
• logic
• philosophical history

The nature of philosophy when evaluated viz a viz the so-called woke and cancel cultures and transsexuality naturally eradicate all notion of our johnny come lately fool derivations of what comprises reality and sociology from that which is in reality are flight of fancy psychological perspectives.

In other words, keep your ill mannered woke and cancel cultures as well as transexual mess away from me or there will be trouble.

The entire notion of placing drag queens in elementary schools is likewise an aberration of intellect and understanding.

The foundations of science and reality reject these notions completely as figments of the inexperienced human condition.

National Charles Day 2022
King Charles III
Today is National Charles Day.

It is observed each year to increase awareness of the name "Charles" and provides impetus to discuss famous persons named Charles.

The word is derived from the German Karl which means "man" in the context of maturity.

King Charles III of Great Britain came to my mind because of the recent passing of his mother Queen Elizabeth II and I made note over many years of his exquisite patience pursuing ascension to the throne.

We haven't seen eye to eye over the years, particularly when thoughts turn to his taste in company — and sometimes his comportment ...

Or at least deployed security in the presence of lax personal comportment.

I suppose everybody deserves "down time" ... even crown princes of the realm.

However, he is now the King of the British Empire and is due all the respect of a reigning monarch in the modern world.

God save The King.
