The President's Personal Twitter Account went down briefly
    Trump on Twitter
I have repeatedly stated that I would prefer that the president not tweet. I personally view it as unpresidential.

However, having voted for Mr Trump and being fully aware of what I was getting up front, it did not surprise me when I learned that he likes to get on that thing and make statements.

Even if he had been elected and done nothing, that STILL would have been better than another 4 years of Clinton monetizing and harvesting payola at the expense of the taxpayers.

In reality he has done much to make the country better after the 8 year regime of Barack Obama and the dude he lives with driving the country to the dogs in the best traditions of his party, his crooked bent on turning the United State Muslim, and using executive privilege to circumvent the law.

The Associated Press reports that President Donald Trump’s Twitter account was down for about 10 minutes as the hour approached 7 pm. It is now running normally.

The presidential personal account, @RealDonaldTrump, was not available providing a "does not exist" error and was restored around 7:03 pm.

I personally would have viewed the continued twitter down time to be an improvement.

Black Death Pandemic
black plague in Madagascar
Recent news stories have been implying a potential bubonic plague pandemic on the planet which is now primarily in Madagascar.

It has been stated that this contageon comes about from the indigeous populaton habitually exhuming dead relatives for some dance ritual they observe.

The ensuing rainy season increases the threat level due to those inherent difficulties associated with containing runoff and reports say that some 128 or so people have died and 1300 are infected by the pneumonic form of black death which is much more virulent and deadly.

The maps of those areas having the greatest risk are wide spread in the hemisphere occupied by Madagascar and the control of vectors appears to be the greatest concern. Seeing how this is the third outbreak in recent history someone is not benefiting from past mistakes.

The first time I held my father's hand
Young Sheldon gloved up for grace at the dinner table
Young Sheldon having second thoughts and removing his glove on the left hand
Young Sheldon taking his father's hand at the dinner table ungloved ...
Young Sheldon bare handed holding hands with his father

I was watching the pilot of Young Sheldon on Hulu the other evening when it had a personally poignant moment which struck me through and through.

The idiosyncratic, eidetic memory having, polymath genius child Sheldon Cooper was sitting at the dinner table commencing grace when he removed his mitten from his left hand and held his father's hand for the first time.

It made me remember the less than optimal relationship I had with my own father which I tried to amend in the last 20 or so years of his life.

The innocence of that germophobe child's motivation contrasted with my personal motivations as I recalled the first time I held my father's hand ... which was the night that he died at Richland Memorial Hospital.

As he was slipping slowly from us under the influence of the morphine protocol being given to prevent oxygen hunger I made it a point to talk to him and tell him that he was the best dad in the world and I held his hand a number of times in those few final ensuing hours to that point where the monitors began to indicate the end was imminent.

Later, as they were disconnecting the various lines and such so that the Hubert and Wilson could take him to the funeral home in Wagener I told him for the first time after he was gone that I loved him — having been all cried out over the ordeal which had been those past few days.

So when the child at the dinner table removed his glove and took his fathers hand all those thoughts of me holding my dad's hand came crashing down in a brief tearful deluge of memory which replays through my soul from time to time.

The moral of the story is to be sure and tread softly around the hearts of those you love because you don't know how long they will be with you nor just how bad the angst and sorrow of you missing them will be after they're gone.

It's one of those profound things which stirs deeply through my conscience during those times I collect my thoughts and ponder the meaning of life.

Happy Halloween
Another All Hallows Eve is upon us. The holiday has evolved from just a celebration of the departed saints, martyrs, and all other faithful to a secular celebration in the best tradition of cartoons with candy and pageantry and "trick or treat" excursions in those neighborhoods where it remains safe ...

Alas the mean character of some individuals has evolved with it as well such that Halloween parties are displacing trick or treating by and large and this is a personal tragedy I suffer each year as well.

So even though it's not the wonderful safe time it was when I was a kid, I hope the children have a wonderful time anyway in what ever activities in which they choose to participate.

Happy Halloween

Mischief Night
Toilet Papered House
On the eve of All Hallows Eve (Halloween) we have Mischief Night.

This is one of those "conventions" more than an actual formal holiday but has been observed since the late 18th century and includes those pranks and tricks and vandalism associated with juveniles and their need to periodically exhibit a distinct lack of raising.

Toilet papering of yards, egging various people and things, paper bags filled with dog poo and set ablaze on front porches upon which doors are abruptly banged as the perps run away — you know, engaging in messy things for others to clean up ... all in the name of good fun.

So anyway, there have been rampant episodes of arson and things not so "fun" as well and I do hope that any observance of this childish prequel to Halloween is held to a minimum of muss and fuss.

National Cat Day
  Nice Kitty
I have this "thing" about the neighborhood cat population. They think my yard is theirs to use as they see fit.

They occupy my front porch in the hot summer months to lay on the cool concrete moderated by my HVAC.

They prowl my shrubs and trees trying to ambush birds and squirrels and spray my bushes to mark "their" territory.

They scratch a shallow hole in my sandy yard and take a dump anywhere and everywhere as though it were declared the neighborhood cat box.

Those owners feel that it is their feline companion animal's "right" to crap in my yard as well.

In the city limits where I live it is illegal for pets to roam the neighborhood unrestrained.

Just where do my rights appear in this picture? They don't.

Today is National Cat Day which is supposed to heighten the awareness of homeless cats. Given the fact that there is a day set aside as well as a non-profit and a web site for these vermin ...

I for one remain unamused and plot the demise of all cats in the area despite the protests of those cat people in my midst.

It's me or them. I say it's going to be them.

I hate cats.

You can't substitute incompetence for skills
Incompetence in Teamwork

We have a problem in the United States. A preponderence of skill-less wonders masquerading as skilled professionals.

Those who sit at a computer without a clue and the enterprise wondering just where the problem lay in productivity.

When a position specifies a certain set of skills it is reasonable to expect to verify that presence of the requisite knowledge prior to hire.

What happens though is they put something on the resume that looks good yet fail to back up that resume in the work place.

This results in a bunch of testy unskilled liars running around the place trying to hide the fact that you can't fake certain abilities with a computer because of the inherent problem with inefficiency. However, some of us are required to "prove" ourselves. For example, I was required to pass a hundred question test in Coldfusion to qualify for the position. They administered this test 3 interviews into the eight I attended prior to being offered a job.

The moral of the story is that people performing technical duties who don't belong on the team should be removed from it. When everything you produce is an embarrassment for the team is it really essential for this substandard work to be utilized in mission critical processes?

Can I get a Duh ?

Euthanasia for the mentally ill
 The Late Dr Jack Kevorkian
Some of the Belgian physicians are arguing regarding the use of euthanasia for the mentally ill. In the presence of compromised mentality can a person fully meet those criteria specified for such drastic action from an ethical perspective ?

The banter surrounds family members of those dispatched at their request by lethal drugs provided by their physicians.

The arguments surround protecting individual freedom as well as vulnerable patients when it comes to the implementation of euthanasia as a ... treatment ?

Belgium, Canada, Colombia, Luxembourg and the Netherlands have legalized euthanasia. Mental illness is a valid reson in Belgium and the Netherlands.

Typically, it is reserved for people with some terminal illness like cancer with a prognosis for longevity in the range of a few weeks.

It exists in the United States as "assisted suicide" but the outcome is relatively equal to the EU version.

The entirety of the rationale is the amelioration of suffering and as such I suppose it most certainly would qualify as "mercy".

If I were suffering some protracted severe never ending pain I would seek relief even if it meant death.

Sometimes life degrades to so low a quality that it is rendered the lesser of the two options. I just hope that the people problems associated with the application of this ultimate therapy are resolved satisfactorily — though I must say that the individuals I have witnessed in various documentaries are grateful for the option by and large.

Not being happy with a prognosis does not mean that the alternative relief is still unwanted.

Intersex Awareness Day
gametes
In the biology of gender, sex chromosomes or "gametes" comprise those set of genetics which determine the sex of the individual.

The two sex chromosomes are known as "X Chromosomes" and "Y Chromosomes" with the combinations being XX (an X from the mother and an X from the father) rendering a female individual while an XY (an X from the mother and a Y from the father) rendering a male.

There are situations where the combinations merge into a configuration known as "mosaic" where different combinations of gamete combine such that there is a combination of gender rendered in the individual. Indeed, “intersex” refers to a variety of conditions where individuals are born with a reproductive or sexual anatomy which is nonconformant to being totally "female" or "male".

These individuals were formerly rushed into surgery by ignorant and unethical medical professionals whose cookie cutter version of humanity did not conform to that wide spectrum we call "normal". These actions often occurred at the protest of the parents and the damage done to these people has been well documented over the years.

Today is Intersex Awareness Day, a day for those who are of mosaic genetic makeup to have their human rights recognized publically and those issues faced by intersex individuals brought to the fore.

United Nations Day
 NO UNITED NATIONS
Today represents the demise of self determination and self governance. United Nations Day is about trying to take over the rule of law in all nations of the world. They want to indoctrinate our children into zombies out to do their bidding.

They seek a globalist agenda which is wrong for the freedoms we now enjoy as citizens of the United States. Their pernicious intrusions into the affairs of sovereign nations are designed to create a centralized world government to which all will answer run by them. They want to destroy the rights to property and freedoms of speech, assembly, to bear arms and anything and everything which could diminish their ultimate control. They want to eliminate those freedoms which arise from our constitution and Bill of Rights. They want to achieve the New World Order by gaining control of America and the American Way.

Although we are a component known as "member state" we need to toss these people out of the country. We need to stop supporting that espionage and freeloading by the other "member states" of the world out to promote their George Soros funded anarchy and paid criminals to lead us down the primrose path which is their vision for the elimination of democracy and even The Republic itself.

On this United Nations Day let us separate ourselves from this attempt at globalized control of anything and everything and the elimination of freedom for the tax paying citizen.

Down with the United Nations and the New World Order. Throw the entirety of this rogue organization out of New York and the rest of the United States of America.

Anti-American. Anti-Freedom.

Mole Day
Avogadro's constant
My chemistry days are now long past. Yes, I was interested in various aspects of it all back in my drug culture heyday ...

But it all became a moot point right about the time drug testing became a fact of life in employment. I decided that it simply was not to be one of those hard headed stances taken up by so many of my unemployable friends who couldn't face the fact that yes — you can be told what to do on your off time, stupid if you wish to eat and live indoors with any degree of quality and frequency.

Today is one of those unofficial observances celebrated among chemical geeks in the know everywhere. "Mole Day" celebrates the "gram molecular weight".

The date of this observance is derived from Avogadro's constant, a number, which is approximately 6.02 × 1023 and defines the number of particles (atoms or molecules) in one mole of a substance. It is named for the scientist Amedeo Avogadro.

Anyway, as far as scientific curiosa goes this is about as eclectic as it gets. I like to mark the day myself in memory of that time when I was of the chemical persuasion ... seeing how I'll never see those days again.

Happy Mole Day to you !

Pathetic Fake News Outlets and The Truth
Moron Florida Congresswoman Frederica Wilson (D), lowest of the low
I've been sticking pretty close to the conservative news outlets because of the fake swing taken by individuals reporting for those liberal companies like MSNBC, CNN, and other would be opinion as fact liars and other yellow journalistic fantasy providers of their ilk.

This despicable element in the country today which are the bulk of democrats, progressives, and Soros funded interlopers have caused me to seek the truth by hitting as many different sources as possible and comparing notes between what is reported, what I have witnessed, and common denominators between them all.

These democrats have no couth nor manners as they utilize any and all tragedies such as the deaths in Niger as some political football with which they attempt to spin the truth into some variant on their favorite misleading fantasies and this moron Florida Congresswoman who would eaves drop on a private telephone call between The President and a grieving Gold Star Widow is the lowest of the low.

It's as though the left thinks we're all as stupid and gullible as they are.

Sodom, South Carolina
public stoning
Today I had to run up to the office. I parked in the garage and walked down the ramps among the hand holding same sex couples littering the area with their homosexual proclivities.

I attended to my business quickly and proceeded back to my truck passing a number of hand holding females with babies. It seems that they had participated in normal relationships for some amount of time and gotten pregnant only to pair off with each other and abandon their men.

While I may have to tolerate same sex couples and indeed I have to ONLY because the political climate won't let me take a few of them to a wall and stone them ... I don't have to like it.

This pride celebration of abomination they hold grows more popular each year.

Abnormality, be not proud.

World Osteoporosis Day
 dowagers hump
When I was first entering the work place back in the early 1970s; aside from the tacky clothing we wore there was a pervasive fear by some of the ladies in my midst regarding growing old and having a "hump" on their back. That 'dowagers hump' is caused by the forward curvature of the spine and subsequent stoop. This is typically observed in women with osteoporosis and is the sequela of collapsed front thoracic vertebral edges.

World Osteoporosis Day happens each year on October 20th. It begins the yearly campaign of global awareness of osteoporosis and metabolic bone disease from a standpoint of prevention and treatment.

It is held under the auspices of the International Osteoporosis Foundation (IOF) and involves various programs which support public awareness of the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis — that medical condition resulting brittle and fragile bones secondary to loss of tissue due to hormonal changes, or deficiencies of calcium or vitamin D.
