Stealth Gateways Installed in Equipment Outsourced to China
scorch the chinese earth
Well ... I knew it would happen. I hate to say "I told you so" but ... I did.

Bloomberg is reporting on alleged infrastructure spying attacks by China on modified equipment manufactured by their agents and sold to Amazon who passed it right on down the line to now compromised business like the absolutely stupid human beings which comprise that company.

In fact, the only people more stupid that them are we who are being forced to buy routers and other network components manufactured by the Chinese which likely include similar hardware exploits designed to provide a stealth gateway into various companies.

The compromised technology chain is upon us thanks to the lack of due diligence by those individuals importing this equipment for profit.

Were the tables turned China would execute those responsible. Public and messy.

In the nooterized environment which the United States is becoming at the behest of the left and those wussy Republicans doing their bidding we need to stand up and grow a pair for a change.

Start handling our OWN manufacture and STOP importing CHINESE anything.

We should embargo the entirety of Chinese exports and not bother with investigating their products for any level of safety.

We're paying them to steal our technology because the CIOs and tech giants kowtow to their market. Facebook. Zuckerberg in PARTICULAR. Amazon. Twitter. Dell. HP. Supermicro. Google. They are all complicit in this robbery.

Our panty waist legislature with the stupid people like Diane Feinstein, Maxine Waters, Mazie Hirono, Corey Booker, Cuck Schumer, Nasty Pelosi, and all the leftist proponents as well as the 'me too' idiots are so busy undermining the country that they have no time to actually take care of business.

China needs to be handled. Screw them into the ground. I personally feel that a scorch the earth policy is in order. You can't steal technology if you don't have a country from which to base operations.

China appears as an enemy of the state always with a spy posing as some "chinese american" ready to pounce upon technical secrets and pass them on to the place of their true loyalty.

World Animal Day 2018
World Animal Day is a celebration meant to "raise the status of animals in order to improve welfare standards around the globe".

It is concerned with both wild and domesticated animals and is essentially an international observance stemming from grassroots concerns and participation.

While I differentiate between animals I consider vermin, or companion and food animals the consortium of individuals comprising World Animal Day do not.

I view it all as a highly worthwhile endeavor and tend to abandon my practical issues for the greater good.

World Animal Day speaks for those creatures who cannot do so for themselves.

Remembering Woody Guthrie
    Woody Guthrie
Woodrow Wilson Guthrie
aka Woody Guthrie
July 14, 1912 – October 3, 1967
American singer-songwriter

When I was a kid there was a man I viewed as a 'folk singer' and musician named Woody Guthrie.

He was a proto social justice warrior of sorts ...

only with manners and decorum lacking in today's idiot sjw populations who think everything is all about them.

He passed at age 55 when I was but 12 years old and I don't think I was sophisticated enough to fully appreciate him or his art for my evolution was long in coming and my understanding of humanity trailed that miserably.

I did have a bit of an Arlo Guthrie phase early on and it was then that I attempted to understand the father at least as well as I did his son.

All of this served me quite well until I entered the navy and sold my soul to rock and roll and became a heavy metal head.

Nowadays I have a full appreciation for the art of Woody Guthrie. Some of his songs are standards from that folk genre we don't hear so much of these days.

I simply don't view politics as a suitable vehicle for musical talents and though our philosophies differ radically I can still take pause and appreciate the man and rare talent that he was.

Fall Is Upon Us
Well ... the Fall season is upon us. Ever since Sunday September 23rd.

While I normally welcome the time with open arms, it has been impossible to differentiate Autumn from Summer given the heat and humidity up to this point in the season.

Yes, those 100 degree days with 80 percent humidity kind of put a damper on the realization that cooler time should prevail.

choose your bomb

Halloween will soon be here. It will be time for those holiday seasonal 'warm and fuzzies' to ensue. I always look forward to Halloween as the official start of the holiday season for me personally.

I've already noticed subtle changes in the color of the deciduous leafage and this progresses begining in June from what I've been able to gather over the years. Many don't notice that early start that was pointed out to me by my late friend, Dewitt.

So soon it will be 'Fair Week' that historical time for a drop in temperature. Unfortunately, I don't do the fair anymore. It simply doesn't attract me with it's lack of adult fare type attractions.

From a rather insipid southern approach they view it all as "family" fare while I view it all as dull and without entertainment merit.

However, I remain looking forward to the remainder of the hoildays as they progress one by one. Onward through January when they will wind up by and large until the next barrage the following fall.

Adventures in Distilled Water
Model 300SS Water Distiller
A while back I mentioned how I bought a home water distiller and a BPA free 3 gallon plastic container.

I've been tracking the savings and they are significant compared to the money I was spending on plastic gallons of distilled water from the various vendors close in to my location.

The price has run from about 87 cents to about a buck ten in the immediate area with some running as high as a buck twenty or so closer to work.

If you do the math that resolves to an average of a dollar and five cents per on average with a weekly consumption of five to eight or so gallons with frequent increases into the to 10 gallon per week in the summer months when I am more thirsty and other times depending on what I have going on at the moment. I had been buying 8 to 10 bottles a week and cannot really account for where they all went. Tea, work refreshment, and various other uses played into the picture.

1.05 x 10 = 10.50 a week frequently
1.05 x 08 = 08.40 a week often

So now my needs are met with a daily distilled gallon produced intermittently in my home. I was shocked at the "cigarette ash" appearing residue at the bottom of the vessel and I maintain the cleanliness with distilled vinegar which I allow to sit for hours prior to hitting it with the old scotch brite scrubber.

It's all very quick and easy as I refill the vessel and five hours later transfer the distilled gallon of water to my storage tank.

I can't really comment on the electrical useage associated with the distiller but the fact that I no longer trudge from the store to the truck and from the truck to the house with those 8 to 10 gallon bottles of product each week has been a boon in and of itself.

World Vegetarian Day 2018

Today is World Vegetarian Day.

Established by the North American Vegetarian Society in 1977 and endorsed by the International Vegetarian Union in 1978 it is a celebration of the vegetarian diet with all the benefits the lifestyle has to offer in the way of health and peaceful coexistence with animals.

Thus begins Vegetarian Awareness Month aka "Reverence for Life" month and the "Month of Vegetarian Food" and it's all simply too much sometimes for a carnivore such as myself.

Forgive me PETA as I enjoy my goodly piece of cow.

Blasphemy Day 2018
Blasphemy

This is International Blasphemy Day aka International Blasphemy Rights Day. It's aim is to educate people about blasphemy law and endeavors to defend freedom of expression, particularly as it pertains to criticism of religion in countries where it is criminalized.

Founded in 2009 by the Center for Inqury it wa created after a student presented the idea that religion should be subject to examination and criticism as are politics and other components of interpersonal relations and the pursuit of free speech has been an emphasis since then.

With all the ridiculous "pc" crap which has been circulated by the left indoctrinated students of the world in all their ignorant glory the "virtue signalling" of the left where virtue does not exist is a distinctly moronic characteristic which should also be questioned. Though I am indeed a spiritual person I likewise believe in the pursuit of answers for those who seek them regardless of the discipline or theology.

That stupidity which is "identity politcs" has lead us down a tenuous path of both academic failure and generations of individuals who cannot function in the real world.

"Seek first to understand…then to be understood."

Stephen Covey
The 5th habit of highly effective people

All in all we live in a world where half the voters are stupid dolts pursing some non existent utopia represented by socialism, progressive tax and spend political philosophies, and down right criminal fabrications against anyone who disagrees with the left.

I am quite ashamed to be associated with such absolute intellectual failure in the United States. In that vein, freedom of expression needs all the defense it can get.

World Heart Day 2018
    World Heart Day 2018
One of the most devastating experiences is the loss of a loved one. Particularly one made to suffer.

The hospital staff will be all polite but they really do detach themselves from any pity for lifestyle diseases in general and would just as soon tell you in no uncertain terms how much fault lay with the patient than anything else.

Some of the physician's office staff treating these lifestyle diseases are the rudest human beings on the planet.

I don't want to mention any names ... Dr Ghent.

Cardiovascular disease remains one of the most common killers of people and has been for decades.

Lifestyle choices, those habits we cultivate over time, genetics, and diet in particular influence the disease process and often time those consequences are severe ...

Not just for the individual experiencing the disease, but for those loved ones who care about that individual as well.

World Heart Day began in 2000 as a vehicle by which people could be informed internationally regarding the impact of heart disease and stroke — which continue to be leading cause of death on the planet.

So unless you're an evil democrat like the rude violence inciting troglodyte Maxine Waters or the evil tard imbecile Cory Booker you have a heart.

It's up to you to take care of it because the hospital which escorts you to The Almighty in those final days could really not care less about you and your lifestyle diseases causing your death.

The Feast of Wenceslaus I
Wenceslaus I, Duke of Bohemia

Today is the feast of Good King Wenceslaus of Christmas time legend and glory.

He was the son of Vratislaus I, Duke of Bohemia. His mother, Drahomíra, was the daughter of a pagan tribal chief.

His family was Christian since the conversion of his grandfather and baptism of his mother and he was educated by his grandmother and the college at Budec.

He was Václav the Good and duke of Bohemia until he was assassinated on this day in 935 by a contingent which included his younger brother.

His martyrdom gave rise to his status in the Church with a reputation for heroism and good works.

He was declared a King and was recognized as the patron saint of the Czech state.

Today is his feast which commemorates his ascension.

His claim to fame is Saint Stephens Day and the Christmas holiday season.

National Gay Men's HIV/AIDS Awareness Day 2018
    choose your bomb

Today is National Gay Men's HIV/AIDS Awareness Day in the United States.

A time for remembering patient zero.

The horrors of becoming HIV positive.

The early days when AIDS was a death sentence.

The meaning of contagion by a fragile virus which requires a safe zone much like the sjw students at Yale.

National Good Neighbor Day 2018
Fred Rogers
When I think of good neighbors I think the late Fred Rogers. He was the absolute consummate example of manners, decorum and tolerant social identity which fosters excellent interpersonal relations.

He is about as far from the democrats, stupid adherents to ANTIFA, idiotic socialists, moron globalists, and all these other radical elements heading straight on into the disaster which can only happen when they butt heads with the wrong group of fed up conservatives ... like myself.

National Good Neighbor Day is an annual recognition each September 26 began in the early 1970s by one Becky Mattson of Lakeside Montana to recognize the importance of good neighbors.

After being established by a proclamation of President Jimmy Carter on September 22, 1978 establishing September 24, 1978 as good neighborday the senate passed a resolution by Montana Senator Max Baucus designating September 26 as Good Neighbor Day.

Seeing how Senator Baucus is a retired democrat there must have been a time when the democratic party wasn't that bat crap crazy entity as a whole LIKE IT IS NOW because too many of them know little to nothing about being good neighbors and are heading straight for those consequences toward which the path of bad citizenship typically lead.

We are only promised today
    Mrs Carolyn Dodson
Mrs Carolyn Dodson
07/12/1940 - 03/25/2017
I have a lot of remorse for various others in my life who have passed without my taking advantage of the opportunity to reconnect with them prior to their passing.

One is Carolyn Dodson, an old friend who I once engaged with my child's mind in an effort to understand people and places much better.

She is lost to me forever and the grief I sustain within my heart is something I've had difficulty relinquishing.

Despite my best efforts to regain the past it remains relegated to that time which has transpired — for "maybe tomorrow" ultimately becomes that awareness of the fact that we are only promised today.

It adds to the unworthiness which sometimes permeates my being when I recall all those moments I planned to stop by yet did not.

It multiplies the remorse of not saying what I needed to say.

We get very few friends during our journey through life ...

Much less those REAL friends such as the Dodsons and others I can no longer reach out to and embrace for all they have meant to me.

The good intentions were there but the reality was distinctly lacking.

Lottery Antics
Lucky for Life logo

My truck is in the shop getting a new timing chain.

This has left me to my own transportation devices, namely hoofing it.

So I walked up to the nearest lottery vendor and played the ticket I brought. Unfortunately, the ticket I played was for tommorrow's lottery; not tonights.

All that remained was to walk home, fetch the correct ticket, retrieve more cash and walk back.

The guy behind the counter was amused with the fact that though I had to make two trips, I was no longer playing the "wrong" ticket — but now I had just played a ticket a day early.

Anyway, suffice it to say I need to pay more attention to taking care of business before I go traipsing up the street to play one of those six weekly plays.
