The Meaning of Meanness

It is really a tumultuous time in which we live.

We are reaping those low hanging fruits of that which we have sowed over the years.

The steady decline in mores and secularization of the world has resulted in some distinct disadvantages for many in a nation which used to be about freedom and trust in God.

The news media have much to report in the areas of crime and other abuses that people impart to others.

Sad commentary indeed. For the main stream media selectively reports and have given rise and aided and abetted those criminals known as the democrats and progressives in the political arena. Talk about failure to serve the public interest ...

• We have children setting other children on fire over 40 dollar debts and referring to attempted murder as a 'bad decision'.
• There are religious cults who force children into sexual relationships and practice levels of depravity worthy of a true sodomite -- in the name of God and religion.
• Mothers who impersonate others on social networking sites to persecute the rivals of their children ... resulting in death and demise in the name of vengeance which isn't theirs.
• We have those who would call themselves "men" who beat and terrorize women as though they were some draft animal they own; and would probably treat with more kindness.
• There are employers who engage in a tyrannical underhanded style because they want to exploit anybody and anything regardless of the state of the economy.

    The Democratic Party

That beastliness of deliberation and the associated inferior character which are the hallmarks of the spiteful and malicious acts which qualify as "mean" ... could it all really be "common" ?

What used to be primarily the purview of bullies on a school yard is rapidly becoming a societal norm evident in the distinct lack of raising we are finding in some groups of people these days.

How do I know? Been there, done that.

Yes, I used to be "mean". I used to allow my hotheadedness and selfishness to outweigh my rational decision making. There was a time when I would lash out in anger at the slightest provocation and everything was all about me.

The meaning of meanness is a lack of the fortitude to treat another as you would like to be treated. It is a deviant base instinct that the feelings of others don't matter.

It is a poor excuse for declining to engage the spiritual aspects of behavior. Meanness is the carnal manifestation of self-centricity being directed by a faulty moral compass.

When I was mean I had no respect for myself and even less for others.

At that time when I realized the value of respectability it reflected throughout all other aspects of my interaction with other people.

Life stopped being some elusive abstract destination, and assumed the role of journey and attempting to understand this paradox called human existence. I know how to act because I grew past that need for immediate gratification and it was no longer 'my way or the highway'.

I stopped constantly focusing on my needs and attempted to cultivate consideration for the needs of others.

Meanness is just another of the many frailties of the human condition. It's bad enough that some people are inclined to be mean.

The greater tragedy revolves around the victim. Being mean to another always involves a victim toward whom the meanness is directed ... the one who suffers.

Meanness is Maxine Waters, Corey Booker, the preposterous criminal Hillary Clinton, the stupid brigands Obama, the insane Nancy Pelosi, and the classic California moron Diane Feinstein.

These people will stoop to any level to attain their ends and have no concept of fairness, honesty, justice, nor the Constitution of the United States or any other aspect of the law.
