Festivus is a fictional yuletide parody celebration held each December 23rd as portrayed in the syndicated sitcom Seinfeld.
Frank Costanza used to hold the festival annually, God rest his soul.
Now, to celebrate Festivus it is actually quite simple to remember and even simpler to do.
Festivus is celebrated as a holiday by those seeking to find an alternative to the commercialism and pressures that the Christmas holiday shopping can cause.
The celebration of Festivus has a few events which involve:
| • | An aluminum pole in place of a Christmas tree |
| • | Put a clock in a bag and nail it to the wall |
| • | The Airing of Grievances |
| • | The Festivus dinner consists of either turkey or meatloaf on a bed of lettuce |
| • | Feats of Strength |
| • | The Festivus holiday is not over until the head of the household is pinned by their opponent. |
