Never Say Never
Never, never, never say never
Ne dis jamais jamais
Better, better believe in forever
And it can be that way
You think that you could never love again
The one time really tore you apart
So don't even try to touch your heart
You're never going to give it again
Never, never, never say never
Ne dis jamais jamais
Better, better believe in forever
And it can be that way
You think that too much joy can only bring pain
Before you know it, it can be gone
But give me a chance to prove you're wrong
You'll never say never again
Never, never, never say never
Ne dis jamais jamais
Better, better believe in forever
And it can be that way
Take time to smell the roses
Don't hold back your one chance
It hardly lasts, it hardly lasts
Better, better believe in forever
Out here I stand with my heart in my hand
My hopes on a wing and a prayer
I must have been born with a hole in my head
Cause I've never said these things before
Never, never, never say never
Ne dis jamais jamais
Better, better believe in forever
And it can be that way
Lyrics by Tommy Shaw

Yeah, my career path has me working plan B.
Automation support, computers, networks, hardware, software, media ... you know the drill.
Having started quite early in the 'information age' I predate the personal computer by about a decade.
In that beginning of my career, there were minis and mainframes but not much in the way of microcomputers.
These were mostly consumer models such as your commodore 64, tandy color computer, and a few breadboard style LED byte display models which were not really for the uninitated.
In fact a scant month after purchasing a DEC VT-100 (Robin) CP/M conversion package the IBM PC was released and obsolescence was all I really had at that point.
It is my duty to make sure that the operations go smoothly for my assigned areas. I have a number of side interests which also come into play. They all need me.
Today is ENIAC Day, which celebrates the world’s first computer.
On the tenth of February in 2011 the Philadelphia jurisdiction declared that February 15, 2011 as ENIAC Day. This correpsonds to the 65th anniversary of the unveiling of the Electronic Numerical Integrator and Computer (ENIAC).
ENIAC is the world's first general-purpose electronic computer and was developed at the University of Pennsylvania's Moore School of Electrical Engineering.
Thus began what was to become my 'plan b' as it were. I'm very fortunate to have been able to embark on it when 'plan a' became no longer feasible in my existence.
Happy ENIAC Day to you.

There is no question in the mind of any American why this man’s job is over, why this country now has one less soldier serving it at the White House LTC Vindman was asked to leave for telling the truth. His honor, his commitment to right, frightened the powerfulI don't view an appointee from a highly dubious untrustworthy previous administration alleging anything to be the truth.
