Remembering David Brinkley
    David Brinkley
David McClure Brinkley
July 10, 1920 – June 11, 2003

Back in the days prior to the mainstream media losing all credibility ...

Before that time when ABC, NBC, CNN and their ilk became preoccupied with that fake news indigenous to a need to blow smoke or worse omit relevant news instead of propagate contemporaneous facts.

Prior to the time their political ends came before objective facts; way before that outrageous butthole Craig Melvin and his penchant for misrepresentation of and misquoting the President of the United State on the Today show ... there was David Brinkley.

He and his partner Chet Huntley were on television during the bulk of my youth and indeed they were presenters of fact — not that fiction we hear on the channels they once broadcast upon.

David Brinkley was an American newscaster for NBC and ABC in a career lasting from 1943 to 1997.

He was an award winning co-anchor and commentator. He authored three books based on observations as a young reporter.

He was awarded the U.S. Presidential Medal of Freedom by President George H W Bush on December 11, 1992.

He was a pillar of that information age which existed back when the mainstream media still had credibility and weren't the yellow journalistic slugs they are today.

Boo ABC.
Boo CBS.
Boo NBC.
Boo CNN.

... and BOO to all the stupid people who believe their cooked versions of events which are not true.

World Art Nouveau Day 2020
Venus de Milo
I have always been a fan of the arts. Fine art. Modern Art. Art museums. The list goes on.

In my early years I fancied myself somewhat of an artist with various sketches until I really discovered little in the way of technical merit and gave it all up.

In my latter years I revisited the notion using various drawing and paint programs and reached some equilibrium in the notion that indeed I was artistic at some vague level.

Today is World Art Nouveau Day.

It is an event dedicated to art nouveau which is said to be a style of decorative art prominent in western Europe and the US from about 1890 until World War I.

It is incorporated into design, objets d'art, architecture, and various designs and is characterized by intricate linear designs and flowing curves based on natural forms.

The day goes down each June 10 under the auspices of The Museum of Applied Arts in Budapest, Art Nouveau European Route in Barcelona, and the Réseau Art Nouveau Network in Brussels.

My personal interests in art are not a function of World Art Nouveau Day and though I am not a fan of the European Union it is simply a point at which my interests intersect those of others in the international artistic community.

I will never be a proponent of global anything ... art or otherwise.

The so-called new world order is a false prophecy propagated by the traitor George H W Bush who should have never been elected to the presidency of the United States.

Memories of Adam West
    Adam West
William West Anderson
September 19, 1928 – June 9, 2017

In my childhood, I was a big fan of the Batman television series starring Adam West and Burt Ward.

Now in my child orientation to all things at that juncture I was unable to discern the tongue in cheek schtick of this program and I simply viewed it as a serious foray into science fiction and that super hero worship of which I was held in it's grip of starstruck awe for years.

Later, in my adult life I was fairly put out with myself for actually believing in this stuff because at that time it was evident that they were poking fun at me the entire time.

Adam West was the stage name of William West Anderson. He was an American actor known primarily for his role as Batman in the 1960s ABC series of the same name and its 1966 theatrical feature film. The film career of Adam West began in the 1950s.

He played in Geronimo in the year 1962 opposite Chuck Connors.

He was featured with The Three Stooges in The Outlaws Is Coming in 1965.

He was also in the science fiction film Robinson Crusoe on Mars in the year 1964.

He did voice work on The Fairly OddParents from 2003 through 2017 as well as The Simpsons from 1992 through 2002 and was a staple on Family Guy from 2000 through 2019. He portrayed fictional versions of himself in all three.

Late in his career, Adam West starred in two direct-to-video animations of Batman; Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders, and Batman vs Two-Face which was released after his passing.

Mr West died from leukemia in Los Angeles, California, on June 9, 2017. Rest in peace.

Remembering Boz Scaggs
Boz Scaggs
Back in the infancy of my musical evolution there was Boz Scaggs.

William Royce "Boz" Scaggs is a singer, songwriter, and guitar player who became a prominent force on the musical scene for his work in the late 1970s ...

I was a big fan during that time frame.

I became marked among my pre-navy enlistment friends as being one of the few people who liked his music in the groups within which I circulated.

I never pursued much about his personal life but would always take a moment and ponder his lyric and melody when I'd catch him on the airwaves.

He was ten years my senior, a performer — and one to take hiatus from the rat race that touring entails.

All in all I vew Boz Scaggs as one of those early influences which made me somewhat ecclectic and circumspect in my musical tastes and a portion of that remains in these days.

His present is filled with writing, touring, and playing.

Today is his birthday.

Remembering Bob Welch
Robert Lawrence Welch Jr aka "Bob Welch" was an American musician who was a member of Fleetwood Mac from 1971 to 1974.
He had a successful solo career in the late 1970s and was played on the local radio in Charleston, SC frequently while I was in the Navy.

He released a number of singles including:

• "Hot Love, Cold World" which I never heard,
• "Ebony Eyes" which I heard way too much,
• "Precious Love" which I don't remember,
• "Hypnotized" which was steady on the radar and covered by other groups,
• "Sentimental Lady" which I listened to quite often over the years.

    Robert Lawrence Welch Jr
Bob Welch
August 31, 1945 – June 7, 2012

There was controversy early on in the breakup between Mr Welch and Fleetwood Mac. I recall episodes of legal proceedings and general contention in the news. His drug use afterwards was the stuff of legend.

I recall the decline of his physical appearance when I compare it to that of his much younger self in the old Fleetwood Mac Days.

He killed himself with a gun shortly after spinal surgery and the report that his condition would do nothing but deteriorate until he became an invalid. News reports that he left a note to his wife before departing this earthly existence added to the poignance and saddness of his life and end.

His wife died some 4 years later from lung issues and heart disease and they are interred together in Memphis Tennessee.

Rest in peace.

Exploits Never End
exploiter
So I have a network node with web and mail servers as well as a local area router on a topology consisting of both static and dynamic public and private facing IP addresses.

Throughout the day my intranet, web and email domains are barraged with a variety of never ending exploits from both residential and business addresses which I diligently seek out and firewall immediately.

It is tiresome to be continually looking for these network users of various businesses as well as little hacker dudes (and possibly dudettes) who think it's amusing to try and hack the resources of another — particularly when it is my resources they attempt to breach.

So, harsh activity requires a harsher response and that is me.

When I encounter any manner of exploit I will firewall the entire subnet from my networks. This is dependent on the type and character of attack. Some exploit attempts are trivial. Others much more sophisticated.

Everybody gets firewalled at the expense of others on the same subnet who cohabitate well with others on the net.

It's really old but I have no intention of stopping this policy. It seems that such exploits have been on the increase lately. Whereas after my daily log review I was once concerned with checking and dealing with exploits once or twice a week now exploits pop up daily.

Ronald Reagan
    Ronald Wilson Reagan
Ronald Wilson Reagan
40th President of the United States

Ronald Wilson Reagan was an American actor who ran for and became 40th President of the United States from 1981 to 1989.

He was a staunch proponent of defense and his administration brought the social scene back to the White House primarily due to his First Lady, Nancy Reagan which was likely a refreshing change of pace from the frumpy countryfied anachronistic Carters, their tedious self limiting need to make the country suffer, the misguided mercy of the Mariel boatlift of 1980 which brought nothing but criminals and crazies from Cuba, and their fugly daughter.

Jimmy Carter was a decent human being. Sometimes though bringing resources to bear on a situation better left alone is a poor utilization and this man was a poor utilizer of the resources of our country. Mr Reagan was no such squanderer of what we have in the way of resources and he wasn't the office monetizing criminal principals of the Clinton regime with their equally fugly daughter.

He was known for his humor and belief in UFOs and some of his open mike episodes were hilarious such as referring to the Soviet Union as the "evil empire" and "let the bombing begin".

Ronald Reagan went down hard with that "long goodbye" extended spate of Alzheimer's and he and his family suffered greatly from that end. His state funeral was televised nationally and I viewed this and his grieving family with sympathy having suffered my own paternal bereavement.

My only criticism of the entirety of his administration was his selection of George Bush as his vice president but at that time we didn't know what we know now regarding his deep state shadow government roots and really, this has sullied the entire Bush family reputation ad nauseum as far as I am concerned.

When Ronald Reagan was president of the United States I was much less politically active nor interested in things political nor the body politic.

It was a Republican era with a sucessful chief executive who did not have to suffer the false accusations and name calling of leftist libtard outlets like cnn as a matter of daily operations.

Those liars simply were suppressed by their deep state handlers and the office monetizing Clintons, the brigand Obamas, and the traitor Bushes were simply upcoming ... with the first Bush even being vice president.

It is sad we cannot look into the future and it's sadder still that we can't snatch these deep state shadow government traitors created by Harry Truman and shove them against a wall, shoot them dead, and allow them to rot where they drop.

The deep state, shadow government, and democratic party are all a con with nothing to them aside except evilness. Their constituents are equally stupid, vile creatures unable to grasp reality in their quest to control the Republic, redistribute the wealth of the worker to the socialist shirker and the illegals they would allow to flood our borders — all in the name of more votes that they might assume power.

I see a time coming when civil war will be upon us when the left finally steps to the point beyond which the right will not go. We're almost there already. Ah, to see Ann Coulter's death squads come to fruition and clean out the riff raff all over the place presently. It will be a good day for the United States of America.

Ronald Reagan did not have to suffer these outrageous types of events imposed upon President Trump because Hillary Clinton had not yet lost the presidency and she and her criminal ilk didn't yet have the nerve to accost the rest of us as they do now.

It's as if they don't think we are aware of what the criminal democratic party, the deep state, and the shadow government are up to. These people who would suppress both The Constitution and Bill of Rights are in our midst and actively attempt to subvert our government toward their own greedy self-serving ends will have to contend with the conservative patriot base which is obviously larger than they realize.

Memorials for the 1989 Tiananmen Square protests 2020
From Tiananmen
Today is reserved for memorializing the victims of the 1989 Tiananmen Square protests.

It is also a condemnation of the government of China for their blatant inhumanity to their own population.

The observance is wide spread but obviously not a mainland China recognized day of memorial considerations for those squashed by tanks and smeared across the pavers, shot by military response teams, or captured and imprisioned in those cruel torture chambers for which China has become famous.

Like the more recent predation of Hong Kong by mainland China who will likely get equally massacred while China does not keep their promise when Great Britain gave up possession ... the portends remain bleak for these oppressed regions of China.

Tibet, Hong Kong, regardless of where it is China thinks they either own it or have acquired it and the rest of the world stands idly by while they practice the murder of citizens who dissent.

World Bicycle Day 2020
Fito Modena GT 2 26 inch Mens Beach Cruiser Bike Bicycle Matte Black
When I was a child I owned several bikes. My wonderful parents provided with them throughout my childhood and I rode frequently.

My first one was a little green jobbie with training wheels given to me in Mare Island in Vallejo, California. I still recall the thrill of my first ride, one of many over the years.

Oh, how miss those long gone days of my youth and the innocence and the freedom from responsibility. My daddy always told me he was the best friend I would ever have.

He was right.

Today is World Bicycle Day. It's a day for recognizing the bicycle for it's two centuries of utility, recreation, and down right fun.

This day was set aside by the anuses of the United Nations General Assembly as International World Bicycle Day in April of 2018.

I like bicycles. I detest the United Nations.

International Sex Workers Day 2020

I mark yet another annual sex workers day because of my relationship to sex workers during my younger days.

As a Navy man on a tin can abroad some these people offered the only comfort I had available aside from the messdecks ... which were ususally equally comforting out at sea for months on end.

Yes, I was a sailor into carnal things, combative and profane for the entirety of my enlistment.

While I pursued these things on active duty, I only wish I had spent more time with my late father while ashore. My misguided priorities tortured me for years later on ...
So this, International Whores Day if you will honors those sex workers and calls attention to the various exploitations they suffer during the course of transacting the oldest profession in the world.

The inhumanity of people sometimes rains down on the person tasked with those carnal pursuits satisfying base needs for the two legged animals walking the earth who would strike out or worse at some poor girl trying to make a living.

Some people have only a single commodity to offer for remuneration and the acquisition of food, clothing, shelter, and other necessities of people everywhere.

Grasping Reality
grasp

In a comparison of that which is real and that which is not the factors which interface those tangible elements come into play.

For example, if you are in reality there is a specific cause and effect relationship with action and it's result; and in the absence of reality everything is just a subjective smattering of parts which eminate from the imagination of those making various false assertions. There is morality versus immorality and the duties associated with fairness and providing what is required to do the job.

There is the compounding of problems when something required for a chain of events to transpire is withheld. There are the consequences of faulty setup and incorrect configurations.

Far better to grasp what is happening and what is required and look for some congruence between the two.

When it is lacking at least you'll know where you stand.

Weenies
 weenie

A person, especially a man, who is regarded as being weak and ineffectual.

In my life there have been a few weenies. These individuals are characterized by a lack of empathy for their peers and even less for their charges.

These people are out for themselves and don't rock the boat regardless of how eggregious a situation is or how adversely it affects their team.

Weenies are the personification of all things ignored, overlooked, and forgotten because it has no effect on their personal sphere, their personal space, their own existence.

In the course of those events attributed to work and life the weenie is a false omen of good will and the tidings and portends are that of abandonment.

Permissions to do the Job
Windoze Lock Down
There is this control in Windoze environments known as 'permissions'. They control access to resources on a windoze system, be it a workstation, server, application ... whatever.

Many permissions are implemented via a device called an "account".

Sometimes permissions are involved in software devices called "access control lists".

Other times permissions are associated with specific roles assigned to the job environment.

Regardless, without those permission required to do the job your efforts to perform required tasks will be thwarted in a Windoze environment.

They were originally intended to facilitate operation by known individuals in an enterprise to the exclusion of all others.

If you are given a job without permissions to use the resources required for that job, you cannot do anything because the controls required will be unavailable.

There are work environments where people are assigned tasks then not provided permissions to access those resources required to do the job.

Add to that the ramp up training and necessary documentation reading and time gets sucked up like a black hole. You have committed your life to the project only to find out you were doomed from the start.

Such is the nature of the beast in some work enviornments.

It is not possible to overcome job assignments which lack adequate permissions without the intervention of another of sufficient authority to grant those permissions required to do the job.

The Ramifications of Posttraumatic stress disorder
    21st century schizoid man
PTSD can raise it's ugly head in various situations. It is a manifestion of some traumatic life event in the victim ... who may not even recall just what that event was.

Posttraumatic stress disorder is classified as a mental disorder and is episodic with some people having frequent severe episodes while others maintain control and have milder, fewer episodes. The American Psychiatric Association began recognition of it in 1980 in the third edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-III).

Consultants say that cases which are subclinical and rare do not actually qualify for the diagnosis of PTSD, but it is there nonetheless. Control is that determinate factor.

Symptoms of PTSD may include disturbing thoughts and/or feelings, mental or physical distress to trauma-related cues with attempts to avoid those trauma-related cues, alterations in affect and ideation, increase in the fight-or-flight response, and/or dreams related to the events. Other people get twitchy and tremorous with the general consensus being to allow the tremors to pass naturally with a timespan lasting in the range of a few hours.

Some symptoms are protracted and severe. Others simplistic and trivial in appearance.
