Unity cannot exist in the absence of sane leadership
Slaw for brains wants unity. Good luck.

Moments from Biden's piss poor excuse for his first public address to the voters since the election was stolen for his senile ass.

Recollections of Jack Ruby
    Jack Ruby
On this day in 1964, Jack Ruby was convicted of killing Lee Harvey Oswald, the assumed assassin of John F Kennedy. The entirety of the murder of our 35th President is fraught with suspicious aspects garnering feelings of mistrust and malfeasance in public office ... along with the thought that dirtbag murderers had assumed control of the country.

Jack Leon Ruby was born Jacob Leon Rubenstein on April 25, 1911. He passed from pulmonary embolism which arose secondary to bronchogenic carcinoma on January 3, 1967.

He murdered Lee Harvey Oswald on November 24, 1963, while Oswald was in police custody after being charged with both the assassination of John F Kennedy and the murder of Dallas policeman J D Tippit.

I was sitting before the television with my mother watching the live video as Ruby fires his pistol into the body of Lee Harvey Oswald. The narrative continued with his rapid deterioration and it was obvious his condition was grave gone to worse. All of this transpired in our living room at Aragona Village in Virginia Beach, Virgina during what had become the darkest period in my childhood.

A Dallas jury found Ruby guilty of murdering Oswald, and he was sentenced to death. On appeal he was granted a new trial but did not live to see his newly won day in court due to the sequela of his pre-existing cancer.

In September 1964, the so-called "Warren Commission" farce concluded that Ruby acted alone in killing Oswald. Various theories have been developed by outside groups based on what was perceived to be covered up evidence, heavy handed military threats issued to healthcare and other professionals during the decedent affairs being afforded to the dead chief executive — and by and large I find personally that the entire affair could have used a level of oversight and that heads should have rolled after the fact. Military heads in particular.

Over the years those ensuing governmental investigations have not stood up well under the scrutiny of scientific methods and eye witness accounts of the Dallas, Texas tragedy, as evidenced by the test of time.

Suffice it to say that the US Government itself appears complicit in the murder of JFK with individuals such as John Foster Dulles, George Herbert Walker Bush, and Lyndon Baines Johnson never having been questioned nor brought under any scrutiny whatsoever during the initial investigations nor any time after the murder.

An interesting sidebar was that same day in 1967 saw the body of John F Kennedy relocated to a permanent burial place at Arlington National Cemetery.

Jacob Leon Rubenstein, aka Jack Ruby is interred in a Jewish cemetery named Westlawn Cemetery and Mausoleum in Norridge, Illinois.

Hardly remembering Glenne Headly
Glenne Aimee Headly
I don't remember a whole lot about Glenne Headly, though I have seen a number of works featuring her acting and one in particular struck me to the point that I still recall scenes of her acting in my mind.

Glenne Aimee Headly was an actress. She was born a month and a day before me on March 13, 1955 and passed June 8, 2017 at age 62. She is known for roles in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Dick Tracy, and Mr. Holland's Opus.

I saw all of these and did not remember her being in them. She was awarded a Theatre World Award and four Joseph Jefferson Awards and two Primetime Emmy Award nominations.

Her most notable role in my mind was the western miniseries Lonesome Dove where she played Elmira Boot Johnson whose sole existence was to rejoin the love of her life, the outlaw Dee Boot — whom she found locked up in the Ogallala jail the day prior to his hanging for killing a young boy.

She was only in four episodes but this was some of the most memorable character portrayal I ever witnessed and it would take an excellent actress to pull off the selfish Elmira in all her many difficulties in such the stark rendering Ms Headly presented to the world.

Glenne Headly died of complications from a pulmonary embolism on June 8, 2017 at the age of 62 in Santa Monica, California. She was in the midst of a career which didn't have any indications of ever letting up. She did movies, television, voice acting, and passed during her last portrayal of Dian Futturman in Future Man.

So little did I know of this extremely talented actress. You'd think that I would have taken notice seeing the great respect I have for her due to my recently acquired understanding of who she was and what she did. I think all that is primarily a function of how vastly different her characters were to her actual self. She certainly was taken from us way too soon.

Mitt Romney RINO traitor
    Mitt Romney RINO
Today is the birthday of the RINO traitor to the Republican Party, Mitt Romney.

He has wrongly accused President Donald Trump of stirring insurrection saying he was "guilty" even though the evidence clearly proves he did nothing toward that end.

The problem with people like Romney is they don't ever bother to get their facts straight prior to forming their inaccurate opinions which they then propagate as so-called "facts" when they are not.

When you cannot be bothered to even pursue the truth you should keep your utterly misinformed lying trap closed Mitt gd Romney.

The impeachment vote was a sham with Romney right out there yapping in the absence of a single fact to back up what he was saying.

He wrongly accused the President of abuse of power like the little lying Adam Schiff acolyte and democrat in republican's clothes he is.

When impeachment didn't happen he turned all sore loser and whined about the outcome.

Like too many others, what a total misfit for public office this crook is.

BOO !

World Plumbing Day 2021
If you're lucky you can get your hands on a good plumber and cultivate a professional relationship whereby he or she will tend to your business as it arises and provide special consideration in emergencies ...

And even extend that level of service to your saintly mama just because you asked him to.

Such is the relationship I have with Ed Van De Grift, my plumber.

Anyway, today is World Plumbing Day, held under the auspices of World Plumbing Council in 2010 it is now observed by organizations and individuals such as myself who appreciate the timely services of a plumbing professional who really knows his stuff and does a proper job regardless of the situation encountered ...

Thank you Ed. Happy World Plumbing Day to you.

Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness 2021
    coitus

I remember when AIDS was a "man" disease. After all it struck hard upon a male community who didn't see it coming and interrupted their lifestyles and reeked havoc on their lives and loves.

Then migrated via those men who are "on the down low" i.e., people who are called 'bisexuals' in the literature. Nasty human beings of the male persuasion who had sex other males, often anonymously; then did so with their girlfriends and wives. All of a sudden females were becoming infected and couldn't understand why because their trust was betrayed by some cavorting pervert in their lives.

Nowadays the exploits of such carriers and those associated vectors which allow the virus to infect unsuspecting low risk factor people are fairly well known and published in the literature such that various human subcultures are in the loop regarding risk factors germane to their existence.

This brings us to women, girls, and that awareness which came with difficulty and disbelief to the heterosexual community. Yes, Virginia your your man can bring nasty things to you of which you may be unaware and they can kill you.

You. Me. WE. Changing the face of HIV.

This National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day. It is held under the auspices of The Office on Women's Health and they want people to be aware of those choices they make when protecting their health.

Abstinence is the best way to avoid HIV, but if you decide to have sex, there are steps you can take to protect yourself and others from HIV.

Everyone has a role to play in the prevention of HIV.

There are steps everyone can take to protect themselves, their partners, their patients, family, and neighbors from HIV infection.

While HIV and AIDS are not the "automatic death sentences" they once were; this infection remains a serious matter and a public health concern due to matters of protection, disclosure, and social interaction.

Biggie Smalls murdered this day in 1997
Biggie Smalls
On this day in 1997 Christopher George Latore Wallace aka Biggie Smalls aka the Notorious B.I.G. aka "Biggie" was gunned down in a drive by shooting in Los Angeles, ostensibly as part of a rapper war in which the gangster culture will always shoot first and never attempt civil negotiations.

He was born May 21, 1972 in Brooklyn New York and died March 9, 1997 in Los Angeles California.

He died at the ripe old age of 24 years old after attending the Soul Train Music Awards in a hail of bullets fired by mean uncaring individuals who would just as soon kill you as look at you.

Wallace was a rapper and songwriter orginally hailing from Brooklyn, New York who became one of the greatest rappers of all time with that popularity of a genre only true afficinados of the culture can understand.

Me, I never was a fan — but I have always thought that his ending was a sad note to the never ending saga of violence in the United States and totally unnecessary. After all ... he was only pursuing his art.

Couple this with a ever heating and escalating East Coast–West Coast hip hop feud and tragedy was bound to ensue. This is the way of gangsters.

He knew the risks and spoke of them on occasion.

Even while he was attempting the quell the fighting in an effort for the two factions to perhaps collaborate more and wage war less.

His music involved the telling of hardship stories and criminality, but also of debauchery, of course sex, expensive automobiles, as well as partying and celebration.

The saddest part of it all is how those ignorant people with cash to buy automatic weapons enact revenge upon whomever whenever and that is the actual tragedy which is rap music, hip hop, and stupid forced rhyme scheme in lyrics with repetitive beat you like they own you background tracks.

He has released a number of well received albums with a portion of those posthumous releases and by and large I feel the man did not get a fair shake as we will never fully realize the full extent of his talent and reach in the presence of that cruelty known as the gangster lifestyle.

No, I was never a fan of rap or hip hop.
As for young Mr George Latore Wallace — he certainly deserved better than he received ... from his peers no less.

International Women's Day 2021
    feminist

International Women's Day is a commie pinko observance celebrated on March 8 internationally.

It's thrust involve women's rights to the exclusions of the rights of any and all others, particularly men.

There are both female and male feminists and they all project the same stupidity of absence purpose and tout how down trodden females are when they actually have more opportunities in the United States than males. In particular, the female populace at large are less technically oriented with very few excellent exceptions. The rest are simply vagina packing blow hards without any semblance of technical merit.

Typically, this is a day for ridiculous hair colors, whining, moaning, and groaning about how badly women are treated when in fact they and their misguided male confederates are the abusers in this relationship with false accusations of glass ceilings, good ole boy networks, and other figments of their imaginations.

The socialist nature of the feminist movement in the US is another reason they should be stricken from the record.

In the United States of America there is no room for socialism, communism, and all the false flag railings to the tune of these impediments to freedom should be quashed by any means necessary.

I don't celebrate Woman's Day because of the falsehoods it projects and ignoring the day is about the only way I may express adequate contempt for it and other socialist and communist manifestations of identity politics in The Republic spawned and cultivated by the stupid democratic party and their leftist cohorts the mainstream media. Yes Craig Melvin you stupid complicit dupe this means you.

These leftist contrivances should be eradicated as the blight on truth and justice in the country by ax grinding stupid individuals with an agenda which is a far stretch from anything based on the truth.

Boo pink and blue haired pussy hat wearing liar bitches. You are the reason so many are dismissive of women in general.

Pussy Hat in the crosshairs

The Satanic Verses by Salman Rushdie
Salman Rushdie The Satanic Verses
On this day in 1989 Iran and the United Kingdom broke off diplomatic relations after a fight over Salman Rushdie and his controversial novel entitled The Satanic Verses.

The book was Salman Rushdie's fourth novel. It was originally published in 1988 and was said to be inspired in part by the life of Muhammad.

Rushdie used magical realism and contemporary people and circumstances to formulate his characters.

The title is a reference to the satanic verses which are derived from the Quran and refer to three pagan Meccan goddesses named Allāt, Uzza, and Manāt.

The part of the story that deals with the "satanic verses" was based on accounts from the historians al-Waqidi and al-Tabari.

The Satanic Verses was well received in Great Britain and the controversy which was inevitable with the Muslim penchant for blasphemy accusations and other claims of mocking the muslim faith.

All of this resulted in a fatwā calling for Rushdie's death issued on Valentine's Day 1989 by Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini who was a raging maniac anyway. The resultant death threats, murder attempts and the murder of a translator summed up the entirety of why radical Islam should be eradicated from the planet.

The radical element has done nothing but grow worse and attempt to force Sharia on the rest of the world under threat of death ... even in the United States.

The Michelangelo Virus of 1991
I vaguely recall The Michelangelo virus. Back then I was a voracious reader of the technology journals of the day with Jim Seymour and John Dvorak authoring much of that predominating literature which passed by my desk.

This tedious exploit was discovered on it's first computer on February 4, 1991 in Australia. It was designed to infect DOS systems and did not engage or make any calls to the operating system proper. Michelangelo was a boot sector virus and operated at the BIOS level. Annualy, the virus remained dormant until March 6 which is the birthday of Renaissance artist Michelangelo.

There are no references to the artist in the payload of the virus, and it is doubtful that the developer intended Michelangelo to actually be referenced to it. The name was chosen by researchers who noticed the coincidence of the activation date. The actual significance of the date to the author is unknown.

Michelangelo is a variant of the Stoned virus of 1987 which had a payload which reported Your PC is now Stoned ... Both viruses were first detected in the pacific rim region of Australia and New Zealand.

Some people are easily amused.

Creation in blue nitrile gloves

On March 6, if the PC was an IBM PC-AT or a PS/2, the virus overwrote the first one hundred sectors of the hard disk with nulls. The Michaelangelo virus assumed a geometry which would obfuscate the presence of existing data for any average user with no editing or removal tools.

Can you say BACKUP and RESTORE boys and girls ?

There were specific actions on hard disk subsystems and floppies.

There were admonitions for a while warning users not to run their computers on March 6. The actual mechanics of it all were much less sophisticated than payloads these days.

The Michaelangelo virus has been relegated to the past as one of those early efforts to disrupt the information age by trashing the data of a user. With the more sophisticated payloads like those triggering bitlocker and so forth we now have a need for active detection and removal such that the software manufacturers themselves often build in subsystems designed specificallly for that purpose.

Good riddance to the Michaelangelo virus; but the dirtbags and hairballs remain out there attempting other exploits for your computing persecution.

I remember Billy De Wolfe
    Billy De Wolfe
When I was a kid there was a comedic character actor named Billy De Wolfe who I encountered on shows such as The Dick Van Dyke Show, That Girl, The Debbie Reynolds Show, The Doris Day Show, and of course ... Love American Style as well as a number of movies on television and other appearances and fluff pieces common to that era.

The guy was rather like John Wayne in the regard that he was pretty much the same character projecting similar mannerisms throughout his appearances and the funny part was that schtick and how recognizable it all became. He kind of grew on me over time and the older he got the more endearing he was to me personally.

William Andrew Jones aka Billy De Wolfe was an American character actor who worked from the mid 1940s through the mid 1970s. He was born on February 18, 1907 and died March 5, 1974 and was professionally engaged in films until his death.

A Massachusetts native, he was the son of a Welsh bookbinder who encouraged him to become a Baptist minister. He became interested in the theatre and found work as an usher before becoming a dancer with the Jimmy O'Connor Band.

At this point in his career he changed his last name to De Wolfe in honor of the manager of that Massachusetts theatre where he worked. He went on to tour Europe with a dance team and performed in a London revue called "Revels in Rhythm".

He was said to be a closeted homosexual by Sir John Gielgud, author David Kaufman, and The Advocate but in my mind all I recall is his art and flamboyance in those productions I watched and he was pretty entertaining. I mean just how significant is someone's sexuality when they keep their private lives to themselves anyway?

During the second World War he did a hitch in the US Navy and was discharged for medical reasons in 1944.

Billy De Wolfe died just after his 67th birthday from lung cancer at UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles after a brief hospitalization.

All in all he was literally quite the character.

Rest in peace.

Assuming homosexual rights

On this day in 1998 there was a lawsuit Oncale v Sundowner Offshore Services, Inc whereby SCOTUS ruled that federal laws banning sexual harrassment on the job apply not only between men and women but also when both parties are lesbos or other fags.

hetero is the only o

While my personal preferences take precedence here I would qualify my opinion by stating that I do not hold anyone's sexuality against them and I am friends with others of various sexual proclivities and persuasions. As long as people keep their private lives or controversial opinions to themselves I have no issues with anyone ever.

The 'hitting up on' others at work has never been anything I thought to be an interesting or fruitful endeavor. When you come to work there is a need for barriers because you're there to work and not to socialize or pursue sex partners or otherwise cavort in your carnal inclinations.

It's simply unseemly and can make co workers uncomfortable.

While I am a proponent of 'to each their own' likewise I don't view this as extended to unwanted advances toward any other regardless of their sexual orientation and the thought of such antics is repugnant to my existence.

So while I don't believe in gay, transexual, or any other identity political rights of that nature I do believe in human rights. While I don't believe you should hook up with a person of your own genome nor do I believe that you can 'fake' a sexual identity via your phenome ... I absolutely do believe we should not impinge on those who wish to be left alone.

The fact that I think you are a sick bird is neither here nor there in this context.

Remembering David Ogden Stiers
David Ogden Stiers
David Allen Ogden Stiers October 31, 1942 – March 3, 2018 was an American theater, screen, and voice actor as well as an accomplished conductor.

He appeared on Broadway and television.

In 1977 during my Navy hitch, he was cast as Major Charles Emerson Winchester, III, M.D. on the tv show M*A*S*H.

This was both my favorite role he portrayed and I believe the one for which he is most recognized to this day.

Mr Stiers was a multi faceted talent whose performance arts set high standards and crossed boundaries of genre and style.

He also portrayed District Attorney Michael Reston in several Perry Mason television films and did a fair amount of voice acting for Disney.

He was on television on the supernatural drama series The Dead Zone as Reverend Gene Purdy who he portrayed for 5 years.

Stiers spent his later years as a conductor of the Newport Symphony Orchestra.

He passed in 2018 from the sequela of bladder cancer and with him passed an eloquent, articulate man of the world who brought his unique imprimatur to those things he embraced during his career.

And yes, he was a gd democrat. It just goes to show you that I may appreciate your talents as long as you maintain a level of good sense, tact, poise, and decorum of which most democrats are no longer capable in all their leftist libtard stupidity.

Unlocked Backdoor Ajar
    Unlocked Backdoor Ajar

I have a personal rant ... against myself regarding what is becoming an increasingly frequent problem. It seems that my door is both unlocked and ajar or simply quite ajar as to negate the value of any lock itself.

Just this morning I awoke to yet another ocurrence. I would start logging these but I fear what the records might indicate.

Luckily, though the neighborhood has certainly experienced urban decay over the years — there has been no attempt to break in (er ... push open the door) during the night. Actually, I don't think it's so much a downward curve but just a demographic shift from poor white trash to poor trash comprised of mixed nationalities

Safety is my paramount concern. I have two heavy steel doors on the front and back entrances.

What good are these if you can merely push the door open and gain entry because the door is not fully closed or worse: unlocked or unlocked and ajar as well. All of these conditions have been recent ocurrences.

Let us hope that I acquire some modicum of increased responsibility in my security efforts prior to retiring.

This way perhaps you won't read of me in the local paper falling victim to some criminal gaining entry and beating me to death or shooting me or something.

I don't understand my continued problem with all of this.
