National Occult Day 2023

    Cross of the Knights Templar
It is said that the Knights Templar worshipped Baphomet a supposed deity which subsequently became incorporated into many occult and esoteric traditions.

Baphomet is a deity allegedly worshipped by the Knights Templar that subsequently became incorporated into various occult and Western esoteric traditions.

The name Baphomet appeared in trial transcripts for the Inquisition of the Knights Templar starting in 1307. It first came into popular English usage in the 19th century during debate and speculation on the reasons for the suppression of the Templar order.

The Inquisiton of the Knights Templar of 1307 mentions this deity by name.

The occult subsequently became a main reason for suppression of the Templar order and it's proponents suffered violent deaths which included torture and burning at the stake in the name of the one true God, YHVH whose name is "I Am" and not I Was.

Ultimately their order was disbanded by the confiscation of their belongings just prior to the deaths of most of their adherents with particularly brutal endings layed upon their leaders.

I had my dalliance into the occult on occasion. I mostly view it as curiosa but do feel that there are forces and entities out there better left to their own devices.

International Occult Day is observed each November 18. It is a day to delve into those things beyond us in an effort toward understanding mysticism, esoteric arts like alchemy as well as spirituality, and clairvoyance, aspects of healing, mediumship and other supernatural gifts which are by and large considered pseudoscience by the orthodox academic community.

Regardless I hope you'll take a moment to consider what lay beyond our senses if it doesn't scare you and perhaps you'll come away with a better understanding of the universe in general.
