One of those icons who has always been known to me is Zsa Zsa Gabor. She had appeared as an actress but typically the role she played was herself in some drama playing out on the world stage.
Nonetheless I will miss that character calling everyone Dhalink and I particularly enjoyed it when she got testy and went off on various others over the ensuing years ... like the time she slapped a Beverly Hills cop in the very late 1980s.
In her defense, she wasn't exactly a power hitter or anything.
Her career has lasted for the entirety of my lifetime up to this point — and she passed away at her Bel Air home yesterday after a lengthy decline in her health.
She was truly unique in my life time and I for one will miss her off screen antics most of all. Rest in peace, Dhalink.
