Yule Time 2020

Scholars have related the original celebrations of Yule to an event called the Wild Hunt which featured participants who were legendary and/or supernatural entities of germanic legend, the Norse god Odin, and the pagan Anglo-Saxon MÅdraniht which was the predecessor to Christmas Eve in the world of the pagans.
It all concludes on Friday January 1, 2021.
Yule Time began as a pagan festival and became a Christian conversion of holiday resulting in the tradiiton called Christmastide and even crosses barriers to this day circulating in both religious and pagan groups with equal reverence. To this day the yule log is large log specially selected to be traditionally burned in the fireplace on Christmas Eve. I used to think there was a specific 'yule' tree ... but appearently that was simply one of those younger flights of fancy of which I had many.,
All of this historically stems from earlier solstice celebrations and the tradition of bonfires. There is also a log shaped cake confection called a 'yule log' as well. Yuletide itself has grown to be synonymous with Christmas.
