World Red Head Day 2023

    Denise in gold frame

Yes, my ginger — World Redhead Day is upon us.

Time to celebrate that superior individual, the red headed woman. Natural red hair occurs in less than 2% of the world population and is more common in those of Northern European lineage.

The color happens due to the presence of high levels of the red pigment pheomelanin in conjunction with lower levels of a dark pigment called eumelanin.

The academics of red headedness are not what attracts me. It's something invisible that affects me profoundly. I'm supposing it's pheromones but who knows, it could be some cosmic attraction that reaches out and grabs me and keeps me enthralled.

The spectrum of redheads is very broad and the hair coloration often happens with with fair skin, light eye colors, freckles, and sensitivity photosensitivity in the ultraviolet range.

World Redhead Day is celebrated every year on May 26.

My favorite person on the planet is a redhead. It must be destiny.
