I have been a big fan of the pianoforte, aka piano for the greater part of my life.
I bought a roland A90EX which I gave to my niece because of the contempt I had for the person who sold it to me. She appears to like it fairly well.
Suffice it to say that though I do not play I have been asked a lot how long I've been playing.
I know how to hammer out a tone poem or two at the keyboard. I have also been known to channel Irving Berlin and play the diatonic scale (black keys).
Anyway, my plans for the immediate future include a replacement instrument, just not a roland.
I like an 88 key digital piano with weighted keys. I also like a couple of good piano voices but have no particular need for a lot of them. The feel of the keys are the feature that can sell me on the spot.
I like a tube amp to go with it. The clarity is what I like from them.
I've been eyeing the Korg grands and even the casios which have excellent specs.
The thing turning me off by and large is a keyboard sporting 'batteries' for portable playing.
