Emoji's are infantile graphic and/or text based characters called "emoticons" meant to convey feelings which originated in Japanese text messaging.
I'm afraid that the concept of emojis and emoticons has exploded over the years with many entire character sets coming out for inclusion in your SMS text messaging and emails along with other aspects of a trite and trendy nothingness for which we have become renoun due to the influence of various dumbasses.

Today is World Emoji Day. An observance to celebrate your obsession over these ubiquitous graphic icons which pop up everywhere. Yes, I have been known to utilize them in the past but as I progress in this existence they become more an item of scorn and less something I view as useful.
However, the kiddies among us like them and the immature adults as well — so should you find yourself liking the emoji as both a communication and art form you're in good company.
