The notion of fair pay wasn't even in the picture.
He went out of his way to gyp me at every turn.
His daughter (who was my aunt by marriage was even worse).
So today is World Day Against Child Labor.
It is an international observance established to raise awareness and take action against the exploitation of child labor worldwide.
Nobody ever cared about those abuses I incurred because my mother thought the neighbor had a real "j-o-b" and really pushed me to go get ripped off by this idiot getover farmer.
He didn't.
And fuck the UN, too.
