I did it in several waves because I knew that the frustration level could become high at the drop of a hat.
I interspersed these efforts with a goodly portion of 'Mom time" whereby we fit a few items from her agenda in the mix.
I'm happy to say that the sites now route everything except the webcam streams through SSL in a solid orderly fashion. Perhaps someday the webcam server won't be the piece of microsoft stupidity it is now. Aside from this, God's in His Heaven, and all's right with the world ... presently.
