Towel Day 2023

I'm big on adequate towels for bathing. I like to dry off well and some of the towels I've used over time have been somewhat less than adequate in that regard. My personal favorites are the plush turkish towels and I like them white as opposed to being all colorful.

I recycle towels for lengthy periods using them for various things but calling them "floor towels" and washing and storing them separate from those with which I dry off after bathing.

Today is another Towel Day.

Each May 25 the day celebrates author Douglas Adams by those other than myself. Mr Adams wrote the classic sci-fi novel, “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.” This day was organized in memory of him after he suffered a sudden heart attack at the age of 49.

Theoretically you celebrate the day with a towel wrapped around your neck in celebration of the life of Mr Adams.

Regardless of whether you're an intersteller traveler or not the towel is a very useful contrivance ...

Particularly for hygiene freaks like me.

So in the spirit of Douglas Adams I wish you a happy towel day!
