I worked in the company of Dell/Microsoft cripples who didn't have much of a clue regarding any aspect of information technology outside those two companies.
There was little troubleshooting. No repair. All of those facilities I valued most in my skillset went to waste.
I left there with nothing but hard feelings and animosity toward a group of people with whom I should have never associated myself..
Today is System Administrator Appreciation Day.
It happens on the last Friday of July. That makes it July 25 this year held under the auspices of a system administrator named Ted Kekatos since 2000. It supposedly celebrates the professionals who are working around the clock in order to keep our information management machinery running.
System administrators are people who take care of installing and troubleshooting anything and everything related to Information Technology. They also are tasked with technological advancements as they pertain to the workplace and the act of upgrading all devices toward that end.
It is too bad that far to many of these so called professionals are technically inferior. Luckily they are relegated to incorporated municipalities where the less capable run the show.
