Summer Solstice 2021

One of those things which has intrigued me over the years is the progression of the seasons.

Spring to Summer, Summer to Autumn, Autumn to Winter then over again.

Another of the seasonal hallmarks marking the progression of time has arrived.

Sunday, June 20 marks the first day of Summer. Summer solstice is the phenomenon which marks the advent of summer.

At the time of the longest day, about June 21 in the northern hemisphere and December 22 in the southern hemisphere.
