Spammers Operating from Residential Nodes

Common domestic Spammer

In my pursuit of spammers I have isolated quite a number of them utilizing various residential nodes.

Typically on DHCP segments their IP address are subject to variance based on the TTL (time to live) of their present address renewal presenting the issue of discrimination toward DHCP segments ... and STATIC segments as well.

I notice that a number of these are on my own network.

It makes me wonder if roadrunner is indeed the place for me. I would think that a proactive approach to the abuse of network resources would be the status quo. This does not appear to be the case.

As is my policy; I hit the logs every day and will block every subnet from which spammers attempt to exploit my server. This will ultimately result in a lot of others losing access ... but we must do what we must do.
