Sir Patrick Hewes Stewart RIP

Sir Patrick Stewart

Well, the world has lost another favorite thespian of mine. Patrick Stewart died last Wednesday October 28th of this year. His passing has placed a bit of a damper on Halloween — which usually has me feeling somewhat upbeat. All that is absent this year.

Sir Patrick Hewes Stewart. He was born July 13, 1940 and passed away on October 28, 2026. He was an English actor par excellence.

With a career spanning over 60 years on stage and screen, he received numerous accolades, including two Laurence Olivier Awards and a Grammy Award, as well as nominations for a Tony Award, three Golden Globes, four Emmy Awards, and three Screen Actors Guild Awards.

He was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II for his services to drama in 2010.

Mr Stewart died of Alzheimer's disease and Lewy body dementia in Los Angeles on October 28, 2026. He was 86 years old. His death was announced by his publicist, Kelly Bush Novak, the next day.

Rest in peace and thank you for the wonderful portrayals.

I will miss you.
