I once engaged in the occasional primal scream. Posed by one Arthur Yanov, it was said to be a catharsis when I frequently found it only an embarassment.
The scream is said to release those pent up pressures related to anxiety and emotional baggage which may lead to attitude and health issues.
I don't do a lot of screaming anymore, primal or otherwise.
Today is April 24 so it's Scream Day.
Built up frustrations can cause internal strife and the scream is said to release these where they may no longer cause undue distress.
The relief of liver stagnation is said to be one of the main benefits of the scream these days.
I don't know about you but I simply consider the scream to be evidence for a loss of control and as such I seek other methods to eliminate those stagnations which may pent up in my soul.
May I suggest planking or a few push ups. Either calms me right down from sheer exhaustion posthaste.
Scream if you like. Channel those emotions.
However, try not to make those around you uncomfortable by engaging in the practice indiscriminately or too often.
