Robot Priests ??? I don't THINK so

Representation of some Robotic Priest by one of the deceived
There is this notion of machines playing the role of clergy and ministering to humans. Entrusting my spiritual life to even the most sophisticated AI will never happen. Religion is a human construct. Relegating it to an algorithm is hardly an appropriate venue for the study of The Almighty.

Machines well may be without sin. I hardly think that those who create them are. My trust is earned. In religious circles you stand the utmost scrutiny by any serious adherent to the One True God, whose name is "I Am" and He will not be using any machines toward that end in some attempt to reach the many who are deceived.

In fact, IMHO the entire notion of AI as a religion or mechanized clergy is a deception itself. When the day comes that machines have anything to offer me spiritually I will have to become somthing I presently am not.

There won't be a mechanized false prophet in my life. I'm not looking for some executable Jesus. I follow the teachings as related via the original translations and the traditions of men have no room in my theology.

Romans

1:22  Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
1:23  And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
1:24  Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
1:25  Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
