He is regarded by many as one of the best comedians of all time
He was known for his improvisation skills and voice actor memorable for innumerable voices of his creation.
Robin Williams began performing stand-up comedy in San Francisco and Los Angeles during the mid-1970s.
He rose to fame for playing the alien Mork in the sitcom Mork & Mindy from 1978 through 1982.
In August 2014 during his 63rd year Robin Williams committed suicide by hanging at his home in Paradise Cay, California.
His widow attributed his suicide to his struggle with developing Lewy body dementia.
My personal issues with his passing include the body of work he left behind and my inability to sit and watch them anymore.
It took me a long time to work up the ability to watch Bicentennial Man. When I hear examples of his schtick it sends me into a spate of sadness for all he was and that which he might have still become.
