One of my favorite actors of all time was Bill Paxton. Ever since Aliens and his portrayal of the Marine Hudson it was pretty much me and him from then on.
I watched most everything he was in looking for those subtle nuances he always brought to the role ...
Game over man
Private Hudson
Portrayed by Bill Paxton
Aliens (1986)
William Paxton was born in Fort Worth Texas on May 17, 1955 ,,, just a smidge over a month younger than me. He began in music and became a character actor extraordinaire.
Those films I most enjoyed included The Terminator, Commando, Weird Science, Aliens, Near Dark, Predator 2, Tombstone, Twister, Titanic, Nightcrawler, and Marvel's Agents of SHIELD as well as his award winning portrayal Randall McCoy in the History channel miniseries Hatfields & McCoys. What a disturbing film that turned out to be for me personally.
He died while we were both 61 on February 25, 2017 from a post operative stroke.
There by the grace of God go I.
If life were truly fair he would still be around flexing that thespian muscle and rewarding the viewers of his filmography with innumerable excellent performances.
