He punctuated my life with a lot of AM 'oldies' type stuff when I was a kid.
I recall his duet with Paula and their quasi love songs.
He gained fame with a string of hits "Diana", "Lonely Boy", "Put Your Head on My Shoulder", and "Having My Baby".
There was quite a spate of absence during his career up to a point he would reappear with some song which sold well.
He did pieces for television, advertising, and his work has been covered by big name acts throughout his career.
He was a part of my musical listening for as long as I can remember up until early adulthood.
Paul Anka became a naturalized US citizen in 1990.
