Odd Socks Day 2024

    odd socks
As a rule I don't wear odd socks. You know, those wild patterns, clashing or neon colors, made with individual toes, strange stripes, paisley prints, geometric designs, et cetera.

No I wear plain white socks and make it a point to change them several times a day ...

You know, the adult onset diabetes thing.

So this is Odd Socks day.

It is held on the first day of the third week in November.

It is an outlet for the expression of style and quirky inclinations and also promotes a good cause.

I don't go in for the conventions of dress whereby you are "supposed" to wear a sock colored similarly to your shoes.

For me there is no such thing as a fashion faux pas. No rules, no foul and I'm not one to apologize needlessly either.

The day began in 2017 under the auspices of the Anti-Bullying Alliance as a way to deter bullying in school. I don't know how this sock deterence operates, but I have my own methologies that I employ at the drop of a hat. I find it impossible for an unconscious person to bully anyone. Particularly when they need to find a reconstructive dentist pretty quickly as well.

Regardless you should always feel able to express yourself without fear of reprisals from someone displaying a distinct lack of raising. It's a manners thing. I wasn't always one to support manners. That was then this is now.

Happy Odd Socks day.
