It poses the question of whether contacting a former partner during the spookiest season is cathartic, ill-advised, or both and is left as an exercise for the reader.
It has been my experience that a clean break with no "aftershocks" is the best course.
Particularly if your ex became that due to a bit of a psycho tendency going on, boiling of the little white bunnies on stove tops, and/or other disressing social habits etc, etc ...
Or some unforseen need for excessive dominance.
Me, I don't debate texting an Ex simply because first, I don't like texting anyway and second, I don't want to further stir up that for which I was escaping.
I just think it's bad practice.
