I knew all of the characters and could sing all of the songs along with them on the television. My favorite of all were the Spinach verses of the various Popeye theme songs and spinach has always held a special place in my heart.
There was a time when I consumed it several times a week and it was a time of enhanced health for me personally. Unfortunately, I have fallen short in my old age and do not give my nutritional intake the consideration it once had.
