National Just Because Day 2026

It is observed annually each August 27 under the auspices of one Joseph J Goodwin of Los Gatos California and has a span of possible start days around 20 years.
It is one of those "fun" holidays which attempts to encourage people to do random acts of kindness, break their normal routines, and do silly or kind things without needing any logical reason or excuse.
The day began as a family tradition which blossomed into an unofficial holiday by which we may take an unexpected day off to relax
I for one have no problem with such goings on.
I only wish that it were more universally accepted.
