National IT Professionals Day 2026

An IT professional is an expert who manages, builds, repairs, and secures computer hardware, software, and networks for an organization.

Today is National IT Professionals Day.

It is observed since 2015 on the third Tuesday of September, falling on September 15, 2026, according to the National IT Professionals Day Calendar.

The day is held under the auspices of a company called SolarWinds and said to honor the network engineers, system administrators, database admins, and help desk workers who keep modern digital systems running.

I worked in the IT field for 40 years and like teachers workers in the field of IT like to give themselves awards as frequently as possible — particularly when they don't do anything productive.

So as a retired IT professional with a goodly pension and nothing really to lose I all can say is thanks for nothing and blow it out your stupid self-aggrandizing asses.

Your paycheck and continued employment is supposedly the reward for a job well done.
