Once upon a time this was the ultimate in nutrition for me personally, the McDonalds Hamburger. The time was long ago. The place was Aragona Village in Virginia Beach, Virginia. I was a little boy with unsophisticated tastes. I was able to go and spend a dollar on a hamburger and some fries and did so occasionally.
That was then and this is now.
The entry level hamburger at McDonalds remains pretty much a pitiful affair. So much so that I wonder what I ever saw in that greasy spoon gruel. There is nothing appealing about the McDonalds experience nor their meager grub.
So today is National Hamburger Day.
If you'r so inclined head to Steak Out or Sonic or What-A-Burger and enjoy a real sandwich. Keep away from McDonalds and their $20 minimum wage and ridiculous prices for junk food. REALLY. What has the world come to?
Unless you like your dry bread soaked in grease AND stupidity.
