Today is National Freethought Day observed each October 12 to recognize the value of independent thinking. This is anathema to the democrat politicians who wish to rule your every move and tell you what you think.
The date originates from the Salem witch trials when William Phips who was governor of colonial Massachusetts sent a letter to the Brit monarchy expressing concern for the brain dead methodology of the trials which were based on subjective, not objective data. This resulted in mass protests and finally cessation of what was an idiotic pursuit as well. Like the failed notions of Salem Massachusetts the democrats consider You to be the witches on trial with them standing as inquistors and persecutors who would hang you then confiscate what you own.
