National Feral Cat Day 2026
We live in an incorporated municipality and have animal control laws which are somewhat applied to canines while felines seem to go their own way without any attempt at control.By the classical definition feral cats are born outdoors and not socialized to humans while stray cats are socialized under their own terms and will allow you to feed them but shun all other activity.
Today is National Feral Cat Day.

It goes down each October 16 in an attempt to raise awareness about feral and community cats and promote humane solutions like Trap-Neuter-Return.
Me, I'm quite satisfied with the solution called headshot-dig hole-bury methodology.
I tried cohabitation but this devolved to drink my half and half and then loose a giant cat turd by my front door.
From then on it was war. All cats are required to vacate the premesis immediately without food or rest.
You just can't go around accepting food and giving thanks with feces.
