National E-Bike Day 2024

Were this the past and I more a man child than the old man I presently occupy I would likely catch the E-Bike wave. The electric bike presents a manual pedal operation in conjunction with automatic powered electric drive for the wheels and as such I can see the benefit of being able to engage a motor rather than pump those exhausted legs into oblivion !

Today is National E-Bike Day. It is a new observance held under the auspices Lectric eBikes in a shameless plug to attempt coaxing you into the world of electric transportation. Mr Biden has pretty much ruined the electric vehicle industry with his go nowhere policies that he couldn't even adequately support with adequate infrastructure. Democrats should have left this moron in his basement and at least picked another crook not quite so totally lacking good judgement or any form of merit whatsoever.

While I likely will abstain from the purchase of an E-Bike ... you know, given my 300 pound carcass, the thousand some odd dollars it costs, and the rather repulsive trendiness of it all. However, I will admit to that intrigue it has cultivated in my heart for the freedom of the recreational road.
