I was once preoccupied with creativity and making things, be they art, writing, or music.
Nowadays I've lost that drive which once compelled me toward those various production goals I once viewed as paramount.
Today is National Creativity Day and is held each May 30th under the auspices of one Hal Croasmun of ScreenwritingU since 2018 to inspire and encourage creativity among people everywhere.
While I view the concept of promoting creativity as admirable it simply isn't something to which I relate these days.
I wish I still had it but alas creativity and the urge to create is all but gone in my life.
It seems that the pursuits of work and earning a living squashed it all within me.
There is still that intermittent flicker from time to time — but this compared to my heyday is in effect nothing.
Such are the ravages of age in the presence of the wasting of everything good for those requirements of the material world.
